• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Ok, i think the brand im using for my snake isnt good for her??? Im using the brand loose coconut fiber substrate, so im asking whats a good brand that will retain humidity (i have a really tall cage ._.) For a coastal carpet python??? The guy from petco said it was good for snakes and all that but i dont think its good if anything i think its making her sick??? I dont know or is that just me being paranoid??? Lol
 
I use cypress mulch for snakes that require high humidity like my BRB's.
 
Melinda gave you a good suggestion on substrate.
Are you certain that your snake does not have an RI?
Have you examined her mouth, etc.?

Im thinking she does have an RI and i dont know how to check a snakes mouth, im a first time snake owner. Shes a coastal carpet python, and i read loose dirt/substrate can cause RI's ._. I dont know if there correct on it or not, but i read it somewhere. Sorry if im sounding dumb im just new to this still

No, it can't. If you think your snake is sick then find a vet who specializes in reptiles and exotic animals and make an appointment.

Also how in the world did you end up with a coastal carpet python as a first-time snake owner? Most people pick something a bit easier to keep.
 
Hannah, I just ran across a thread, of yours, from back in July 2015. There, you had concerns, about respiration issues, as well.
Wondering if you ever took your snake (Carpet) to a vet or if you are going to?

BTW In the thread, from July 2015, you said you could only hear it (breathing issues) if things were quiet and the snake was held close to your ear. Now, you say you can hear it from her enclosure and that it is loud.
Cannot imagine that the thought might not have crossed your mind that your snake may have a RI that has just been worsening over time.
Please, take your snake to a vet.

Oh trust me I am going to take her to a reptile vet already found one and someone said something about the humidty levels being too low so i decided to increased it for awhile.
