• Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What did they do?!

Shipped out this display to the buyer on Monday and she received it today...In multiple pieces! It's evident UPS put something extremely heavy on top because it made marks into the PVC and had a good ol' time throwing the box around. The item was packed with plenty of newspaper and peanuts...So I'd like to know how this happened...

Filed a claim as soon as the buyer received. Hopefully UPS follows through, refunding the cost of the item and shipping...

I had UPS deny a claim once when they completely destroyed a rack I shipped by saying I packed it TOO WELL. :yesnod:
They claimed it was too secure in the box and couldn't move and distribute the force of a "bump".
These places come up with any excuse to cover themselves when their people mess up deliveries.

That's awful!
I know how you feel though..
They busted up my rack system I received so bad when I stood the thing up, the whole left leg broke off! Not to mention all the knick's they put in the edges, some right where screws needed to go.
Attached a picture of what it looks like..
The thing is now being held up by 4 bricks and a bible (we're living on a prayer! haha )
Hope it works out better for you than it did for me!

Darn, that sucks.. I just realized your in PA like me so I could have picked them up.. I can't seem to find a nice case anywhere! They're all an arm and a leg!
I'm hoping to find a nice used one at Hamburg next weekend, I don't need them just quite yet... but I will by the June Hamburg show so.
If your going to Hamburg next weekend, good luck with whatever you're looking for!

Just an FYI...
UPS still has not provided a resolution. I received a letter in the mail saying I had to show proof of cost of the items (why didn't they say this with the first point of contact?), so I faxed that out on Monday...Wonder how long it's going to take until I hear from them again...
