    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Since you mentioned CGD I am guessing you are talking about crested geckos. Once they come out of the egg take a look at them and make sure they do not have the yolk sack attached to them. Most of the time they wont.

You can move them to a container/cage as long as they have absorbed the yolk. They will not eat for a couple of days until they have shed for the first time and all the yolk from the egg is used.

Place a shallow dish of CGD for them in the cage at all times. After the first few days you can offer them crickets or roaches of the proper size. A good rule is nothing bigger than the space between the eyes. They will start to eat the crested gecko diet. They may not know what it is but will figure that out fast.

Hope this helps.

how many days does it take for them to shed? And should I just keep them in with the eggs for a couple of days or should I go ahead and move them in to the new cage?

Put them into their own cage. You'll need to clean out the hatched egg and yolk to keep it from rotting and damaging the other eggs. Most people use paper towels for substrate for the hatchlings to avoid ingestion. Give them a couple climbing/hiding places. I actually use my kids' giant legos because they're super easy to clean. Spray lightly a couple times per day, letting them dry out in between. After a day or so, put a small lid (soda cap) w/ cgd and one with a bit of water. That's about it! It's way easier than you think! Good luck!!
