In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What do I do with it?

This one came climbing out of my bathroom sink drain earlier today. I think it is This
If thats the case than what should i do with it. If its an invasive species I shouldn't release it. I know nothing of caring for a Frog as a pet. Please confirm ID if you can and offer up any suggestions on what you think I should do with it.

Right now it is temporally housed in one of my feeding containers with some damp Sphagnum, and a cocoanut hide.

Looks like a Cuban Tree Frog and if you want to dispose of it I believe you can put Oral Gel on it a that should kill it humanely or you could try giving it to a pet shop.
Hope that helps :)
Steve

It does look like a cuban tree frog. they are great in terrariums and vivariums. Keep it as a pet rather then killing it!!!

Found a caresheet

Caresheet Here.

Feed it crickets, dont have to supply heat, keep moist sounds pretty simple maybe i will give it a try.

Well, it would be your personal decision. If you have no desire to keep him as a pet, perhaps euthanizing him would be best. I know my son would be thrilled to keep him, he's become fascinated with frogs since we created a terrarium for the gray tree frog he caught.....but then the Cuban frog wouldn't pose any problems if he were to escape here in Iowa, as he would never survive the winters here as opposed to Florida. Too bad Florida is so far, or we'd come pick the little guy up. ;)

LOL, that's what happens when I begin a post then walk away.....you posted again before I got mine up. I'm glad you've decided to let him "hang out" for awhile. :)

Alltough my wife wont be happy about it, i figure why not. I got a 4 year old and 8 year old that would get a kick out of it. I allready have everything i need to house it and crickets are pretty cheap.

I will see how it goes. I still want to know how it made the trip from the city sewer and up thru my drain on the sink.

excellent decision!!! Turning him loose back into the enviroment would be the wrong thing to do for florida, but there is nothing wrong with keeping it as a pet. Atleast it will have a life!!!

Well maybe, but maybe not if you release him into the smiling mouth of gator at gatorland. :eatpointe

If i was going to feed it off, id give it to aunt b. As mean as she is i don't think mucus would stop her from eating it. :eatsmiley

Of course i am just joking. :raspberry

Update

My wife had a yard sale last weekend. We sold off Fidel with 10gal tank, a little bag of Sphagnum, a piece of a cork hide, and a water bowl for $30. A family took him who had experience in keeping frogs alltough they got the little colored ones. Good to see it will go to a good home. My wife placed it in the yardsale because she couldn't stand the fact of living with a frog. She is extremely terrified of any type of frog or toad.

I guess it all ended well.

Well its better to go to another home then to be put down. Does your wife mind if you bring in other kinds of reptiles??

No just toads, frogs. We have 9 snakes. She loves turtles. Just for some reason she is at phobia level on frogs, and toads.

Hmmm...Frogophobia???? Must be something from her childhood. :=)
