    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have had my male and female in the same enclosure for almost 3 years and today they attacked each other? Does anyone know why this would happen all of a sudden? They have been inseparable for 3 years, any time I take one out( to go to the vet or something) the other one paces up and down the enclosure. I have never seen them try to hurt each other. Please help!!
 
who attacked who? was anything else going on at the time - food, outside stimuli, extreme temps?
 
Depends on what you mean by "attacked" as well......I've seen people who thought their male was "attacking" their female.....and they were, uh....making babies. LOL.
 
I agree, without more info it's hard to form any legitimate opinion.
 
It does seem odd that they would attack each other, especially if they've been together that long. ...But I wouldn't give them negative rep points for it just yet. :raspberry

I think Cat might be right about the baby-making thing too. I have a pair of yellow rats that are as calm as can be until they start copulating. When mating, the male insists on having her head at least halfway in his mouth. It looks pretty aggressive, but he hasn't even left a mark on her. They've been together for a year and a half.
 
a long time ago i had a pair when i was little and it looked like it looked like they where trying to strangle each other by wraping around each other. but later i found out that they where mateing. lol maybe this could be it.
