    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What do you guys think of these two color phases? I'm not sure.....

Ok. The two dragons below were sold to me as a "blonde" and the other as a "translucent." Now, when I purchased it, I was expecting (and I should have asked the guy-but I didnt. oops) the translucent to have the black eyes, she doesnt. I've had her now for about 2 months, and I really like her. But the more I look at her, the less I think she's a translucent. What do you guys think? Now, as for the "blonde",....I've never heard of that color phase. Do you guys think that she has some snow in her? What do you think she is? The colors dont do justice. She's very pretty. Under the heat lamp, she's almost pure white-but not quite. What do you guys think about her?

The yellow looks like it could be a citrus, but without background on the parents it is hard to say.

The other one has a translucent look to her, but I don't think that it's a translucent. There are too many things about her that scream "not translucent".

Do you have genetic backgrounds on either of them?
 
I purchased them from Sin city dragons. When I recieved them I emailed him right away about the translucent. He did a helluva a good job convincing me she was a translucent. But like I said, I'm starting to wonder. You're right though, you look at some of her characteristics, and think, yea she's translucent. Then you stare at her some more,....and start to wonder again.
 
yeah no, he/she can't be a trans she looks like a pastel hypo red or somethng like that a tans wouldn't have that washed out pink color to him/her, I would agree with Brandi that he/she is a cirus I have a citrus hypo that looks the same.

I've yet to see a true translucent (other than the half and halves) that doesn't have black eyes. I could be wrong but I still don't think that it's a translucent.

Still very pretty dragons though.
 
We have a trans female that is in brumation that doesn't have solid black eyes, and she's clearly translucent. She has the "gummy" looking side spikes and a very odd look that the normal opaque dragons don't have.

Anyway, the definitely exist, but from your pictures it is difficult to tell what category to put you dragon in.

Alright, I will have to go check out your pretty girl then. I just personally had never seen any translucents without the solid black eyes. Guess I need to go looking for more trans. (Although I shouldn't because looking makes me want and I can't afford any right now. lol)
 
Heres one I had sold. You can see he has very very little white to him, nice and trans, but had normal eyes. His eyes may still change, but I have a few that came out trans with normal eyes. I also had them come out of the egg with pitch black eyes, then lighten up, then turn black again. Very weird.

Adult Translucent dragon

this should give you an idea of what an adult would look like. Black eyes, clear scales.( when translucent dragons get bigger they lose that really blue belly and its like a cloudy clear color. sometimes the blue is still visible) but look at the side spikes too that helps. are they white? colored? or are they that cloudy clear? i would have gotten pics of his belly but i woke him up to take this picture, and lets just say he wasn't ready for any pictures???

Guess I need to start paying better attention, I've seen the "Partial Trans" label before, never connected it. LOL Now I feel like a dunce. Thank you for clearing that up Ed.
