when my 05 gee line salmon pastel gets that age, what should i pair her with to get the most potential from her? shes really clean and her pattern becomes more reduced with every shed. thanks in advance!

either way beautiful snake ,she would be great for a nice clean hypo + hypo
or hypo + albino
or hypo + anery for a ghost project
you name it
or you could just enjoy her

She is very nice!

I think to get the most potential from her you would be best to breed her into something that's visable in the first generation. Motleys, jungles and arabesque come to mind.
Or you could go a different route and make something no one has produced yet. Like Caramel albino salmons for example.
You really have lots of choices. The most important thing is to just breed what you like best.

co-dom traits:
hypo
jungle
arabesque

recessive traits:
albino
caramel albino (T+)
anery

combos:
hypo x anery= ghost
hypo x albino= sunglow
anery x albino= snow
and of course all the pattern mutations can be mixed with either hypo, albino, or anery (ex: jungle albinos or hypo arabs)

wanted to add that those are just a few... there are genetic stripes that are also a recessive trait and possibly a few more that I don't even know about.

How can these be codoms if there is no super form? Even with the hypo, I have a hard time understanding why this would not be called a dominant trait. I always hear possible super but with a codom animal there is no such thing as a possible super.

not true...
hypo x anery = het anery + hypo het anery (aka, double het ghost)
hypo x albino = het albino + hypo het albino (aka, double het sunglow)
anery x albino = double het anery + albino (aka het snow)

by pointing out that those traits were recessive I thought one would interpret that it wasn't as simple... I was just explaning the morph names, not how to breed them down and explain the hets. Doms, co-doms, I dunno... I play with treeboas.

I understood what you meant, but the poster had just finished stating that he wasn't up to snuff in that area. I didn't feel like getting into defining recessive, dominant, codominant traits; and how they combine, either - especially since the info is pretty readily available (and often explained better than I could do it). I just didn't want somebody to read your explanation and think it would work like that.

Hey Speaking About Readily Available Info, Where Do I Start To Self Educate My Self On All That Stuff You 2 Were Talking About? I Know Kinda The Basics, But Never Hurts To Learn More!

Holy Crap ! My Head Hurts Already! Thanks For That Info. Thats Exactly What I Was Lookin For, Even Though Its Gonna Require Some Brain Power To Retain Some Of That!
