In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am looking to buy a thermostat. I was just wondering what everybody out there is using for thermostats. What made you decide out the brand or type that you purchased? Have you had any problems? Would you buy that one again or buy a different brand/style next time? I have been looking at the helix, herpstat, johnson, and ranco models. Still trying to decide, so any feedback would help alot.

Thanks again,
Scott McKillips

I have several of the

Johnson's, i have not had any problem at all.. I use them on my heat tape, also in my Freezer turned incubator.. It has kept a constant temp of 89 degrees for 4 months.. There are several out there that are good. I just chose these, and they are great... Mike

Howdy Scott,

I have A Helix on my big incubator, a couple Rancos on my Boaphile stacks and Herpstats on my small incubator and on several enclosures. All 3 are good stats, never had an issue with any of them, but the Herpstats are hands down my favorite.

I have herpstats for 2 reasons...they are proporional and they cost less. The fact that they work great is a added bonus! I love mine.

herpstats....

HERPSTAT II + BEANFARM.COM = NO BRAINER !

the most features, easy to use, very cost effective.all my future stats will be herpstats. TWH

Well, A big thank you to everyone for the replies. Herpstat is what I have been looking at. So that is probably what I will be buying for my rack.

Thanks again,
Scott McKillips

P.s.
My greatest breeding project ever!!
