    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What do you use for housing your reptiles & why?

I'm retardedly cheap when it comes to caging. Don't confuse cheap with ugly or crappy though. I prefer to build my larger enclosures instead of buying them because, honestly, I'm broke (full-time nursing student) and I prefer to put my money into top notch animals. Here's a few pics of the enclosures I've built.

That's the newest design and the cheapest... I didn't how to vote for this one... is it still considered a sterilite tote?

I build my own. I currently have 7 racks that are 8 high. Then i have one that holds 5 41 quarts. one that holds 5 -32 quarts and onne that holds 4-28 quart. Hatchling racks.... 1 holds 44 the other 55 another has 27 all 6 quart tubs. I need more of adults and baby racks.

I use glass cages and custom cages...I use custom cages because they look awesome and I use glass just because they are inexpensive and are are good for viewing..

I clicked on everything... I 've used all of those types, but right now I am using a couple rubbermaids, a few sterilites, a wooden cage, and a glass tank.

i like glass for babies and then into the plastic BOA cages....wood, can warp when moisten over time and heck fire proof cage, works for me. I raise my feeders in glass tanks and i have plenty of them to share.

Normally I use aquariums for snakes for their ability to be well secured and heated along with nice looks. But I did build a rather big wooden rack type cage for my ball pythons and blue tongue skink because I needed something accessible from the front and with a lot of floor space, and not so much height.

I keep snakes of the Agkistrodon genus which obviously includes copperheads, cottonmouths, cantils, etc. For my adults I use animal plastics T3 size enclosures 36x24x12 stacked 5 high with the ability to go to 7 high. For neonates/juviniles I'm currently using a 5 tier plastic shelf I bought at wal-mart. To heat it I use zoomed heat cable.

The plastic book shelf will soon be getting replaced. I've got my eye on some racks from animal plastics.
