In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi, everyone I'm buying a uroplatus pietschmanni and I have been told to mack sure it is c.b.. What does that mean?

To elaborate a little bit on what South Dixie Dragons already posted.

C.B. = Born in captivity to wild caught (W.C.) parents who bred in the wild. i.e. you bought a WC gecko who was already pregnant and she laid eggs and you hatched them. Those babies would be C.B. captive born.

C.B.B.= Bred and born in captivity. i.e. you have placed the male with your female(s) and they bred, laid eggs and you hatched them. Those babies would be CBB. Captive bred and born.

You can have WC parents and still have CBB babies.

good luck on that one :)

Not just to make a funny at your question, but I did actually want to answer it.

What youve been basically told is to ask if the animal is captive born (cb) or wild caught (wc) or a long term captive (ltc). Depending on your plans for this species, talk to your seller and ask him the significance and importance of one over the other.

Who may I ask are you making this purchase from?

My answer is probably not what you want to hear...
If you don't know what C.B. means than Uroplaytus species are not the species you should be getting. You should get a Leopard Gecko or a Crested Gecko and learn a bit before you attempt a species that is a difficult species. It's kinda like getting a Ferrari before you even know how to drive. I am not trying to sound mean but the basics need to be learned before you try to learn the advanced... this is a living creature we're talking about here.

C.H.=Captive hatched. Parents bred in the wild and the female came in gravid but eggs were laid in captivity.

C.B.=Captive bred. Parents were wild caught but bred and laid eggs while in captivity.

C.B.B= Both parents were bred in captivity.
Hope this helps.
