    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

what happened to the photo galleries

they were taken down from what i beleive to be lack of use. they might come back someday but for now photos are just being posted in the main Leo forum
 
But I miss having them separated :bawling:

I'll be the first to admit, however, that as far as this issue is concerned I'm probably making mountains out of mole hills...

i miss the seperate photo gallary also..i dont know why it was deleted..there where over 700 threads..
 
I read his rational, but this forum was the exception. It was definately well utilized here, so I really don't see any point deleting just for uniformity. If the programming gets hairy because the forums aren't uniform I could understand that rational. But, if it's just for "aesthetics"...

P.S. I think that it was a good move in the other forums, there are so few posts that there is really no reason to divide them up...

I was wondering the same thing. I like the gold coins so I’m not complaining. :)

As far as the photo forums go I miss them too… I think this forum may get pretty busy at times.

I did that because I wanted to thank the people who became contributors to this site before it became mandatory for certain functions (such as posting on the BOI). I felt they deserved a little "extra" for their support.

No, they weren't deleted at all. They were all rolled up into the regular discussion forums they were subforums to.

My rationale for this was that in nearly all of the cases I saw, each photo gallery thread became a discussion thread. In many cases, photos were posted within the discussion forums as well, so in all cases, they were pretty much accomplishing the same thing: (1) Either the photos was placed in order to start a discussion about it, or (2) The photos were placed to support graphic evidence ABOUT a discussion already taking place.

So I just couldn't see making a separate subforum for the photos with that all in mind.

If things get SO busy in this forum that I have to do something to try to straighten out the chaos, well, I will cross that bridge when I get to it.
 
My little .02 cents on this lol

I love it better with it all combined, I felt like I missed alot if I didn't have time to check both areas and now I can see all the topics at once so its easier for me.

Maybe if posting pics only, they could be titled as PICS of ........

That would make it easy to keep the Pics only fromt he discussions, but Ive not seen many pics that didn't wind up with a lot of discussion anyway.

No, darn it. :bawling:

Looks like enough people wanted to keep me around that I guess I have to tough it out. Traffic has slowed down, but didn't dump into the toilet bowl like some people were predicting. So maybe my hopes that a better site will come from the changes I implemented will really come to pass.

Now if I could just get more people beefing up the other discussion forums on this site, I think we could REALLY have something IMPRESSIVE here......
