    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What happened when I trusted Bill Leverton and loaned him money!

I am not surprised, not surprised at all. :eek: :angry:
 
I'm sure quite a few folks will be thrilled over him leaving but I find it odd that he can't pay his debt to Laura but has the scratch to leave the country. This is almost like a soap opera. One thing after another.
 
I wouldn't worry about him leaving the country to much Bryon. If you remember he wasn't ever going to deal with reptiles again. For some reason I have a hard time believing what he says. I just saw this as another of his going out of business/fire/everything must go sales.

I was thinking more along the lines of " If I pretend to leave the country then I don't have to pay back my debts ". I've read his ads and they run from " I need to pay back a member of this site so everything must go " to the new one " Everything must go before I leave the country ". Oh well , at least he's trying new advertising schemes instead of the standards.
 
No no no this is how it SHOULD go.

He pays back Laura every cent he owes her AND perhaps a little more for the kindness she did for him and for all her troubles THEN leave the country.

Sounds just like something I would have no trouble, picturing Bill doing at all. Anyone who would take advantage of someone who is trying to be a friend is a scumbag, and will try anything at hand to weasel his way out of obligations.

More or less I was very polite and apologetic to Bill to disrupt his advertisement the way that I felt was necessary. I pretty much told him that I placed great value in Laura's friendship. That I, like I'm sure Laura's other Fauna friends, would appreciate it greatly if he didn't insinuate he was skipping out on a debt, and to have the audacity no less to post a smiley face like he was happy with the idea of doing just that.

I think Bill knows I could have said much much worse. And I sure hope he realizes that I don't want to drive business away from him because to do so is to hurt the chances that Laura could be paid back. I want him to sell his animals but I'd like him to be a bit more mature and stop insulting a truly wonderful person who helped him out when his chips were down.

If you're reading along Bill.....

Do the right thing. Put the boas on consignment at a pet shop if its an option for you. At least you wont have the added expense of caring for them and feeding them. It probably wont save you much but Laura isn't asking for much, just a simple gesture of good faith to see that you're making an honest effort in an attempt to pay off your outstanding debt.

She's a good person that deserves nothing less then a public apology right on this thread for the payment that you missed this month and for the way you designed your advertisement to infuriate her and insult her generosity. It would take a big man to do that in my book.

Wow, funny how things come full circle. When bill and I became friends, Chuck was trying to get him to do the right thing for Lee, bill and I forged a friendship through that mess. Chuck even went after me trying to marry me off to billy.......
Here we are 2 years later and Chuck is one of good friends now, and is still trying to get billy to do the right thing. Thank You Chuck. Thank you for becoming my friend and making fauna an entertaining and fun place.

No thanks needed, the pleasure is all mine Laur. The word friend has special meaning and value to me. I value you very much as my friend and I'm happy to be yours. You did a very good deed and got burned. It happens. I cant make Billy make it right, but I certainly will not allow him to victimize you any more then he has tried without making him appear extremely foolish for trying to do so. I just don't want him to split the scene and use me as an excuse in sort of the way it appears he's used your relationship and affection for Bryon to find a way to nullify his obligation to repay you. Losers like Billy often try to find any asinine way to justify why they shouldn't be doing the right thing. I want to see you get what you deserve and then this cordial crap I've been dishing him is all done. I'm patient. ;)

Well 6/4 seems to be approaching rapidly. This is the date Bill is set to leave the states. Destination.....unknown. Does anyone have info on where Bill is heading? I'd like to follow up on this guy to make sure he's paid his debt or at least to let him know often that he owes someone who should be paid back.

Laur & Bryon, has Bill contacted you guys at all?

Not a word. Nothing. It would be nice if he at least contacted Laura to give her an idea of how he was planning to handle this being overseas but I guess that takes too much class.

Chuck, Where I'm going is of no real concern to no one. As for me contacting Laura I haven't done that.But she hasn't contacted me either. So the best I can do is,Laura, send me an address to mail P.M.O's, And while I'm gone I'll have someone send you money. Have a nice day.
 
What a cop out....... someone loans you money and it is THEIR responsibility to contact YOU so they can get their money... wow.....
 
Okay I would just like to preface this statement with, I have never met Bill Leverton in person and the impression I have gathered is solely from his posts on this website.

I would like to say that it is really crappy for "Billy" to treat Laura this way, both Laura and Bryon have been very nice to me since I came to Fauna. I have been reading this post out of curiosity since it started.
I just hope in the future little billy can grow some balls and stop acting like a sniveling whiny little pissant of a man and freakin' PAY UP.
Real men don't think of excuses they step up to the plate, tighten their belts get a second job or do whatever needs to be done.
Hopefully one day for your own well being "Billy" you will realize YOU are not the victim and no one owes YOU anything. My advise is get a second job sell your valuables, what ever is needed to make things right with Laura and who ever else you may have ripped off and grow some balls.

Thank you for letting me vent about this, it just happens to be one of my pet peeves. I will butt out now.
