Im deploying and when I come back I wanted to purchase a lizard. I have experience with beardies and ball pythons. I was just wondering what some of your opinions would be. I already know I want something 3 feet full grown. I will have the funds to house a animal that size to. Bds are cool but im looking for something new. So which herp would be a good new addition?
 
there are a couple of lizards that may fit the picture for you. one of the easiest to obtain lizards that get in the 2ft to 3ft range would be water dragons. you can get one at an expo for $15 but they commonly need to be treated for parasites and snout rub, if you get past this and care for them properly they make excellent pets, also look for australian water dragons if you can find them, they are going to be cb and i think they look cooler imo. Another choice that comes to mind that may be harder to find would be an argusXsand monitor cross. These guys can be found in expos every now and then. I like them because they look like argus monitors (for the most part) but do not get 5 foot, they tend to stay around 3 or four. Another easy lizard to find is the savannah monitor. As with the water dragons you can get one at an expo for about $15 these days. They get husky but stay around 3 feet. hope this helps
