In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What is your all time favorite pet? (Doesn't have to be a reptile)

Sweet! So many people here have awesome sounding pets!

All pets are great of course, but I still stick by my dog~ :p
Since this thread was brought up again, I wanted to add that she's a master of getting things stuck on her cranium. Earlier this afternoon I had let her lick a plastic cup after I was finished with the popcorn, she had to cram her face all the way down to the bottom of this long thing, of course getting the cup stuck on. But she's thrilled about it and just keeps licking, tail wagging. We kinda expected that from our lil' hog, but what I didn't expect was for her to dive in the trashcan after I removed and tossed it, a second later she was walking around with the waste basket stuck on her head! (She was fine, happy as always)
When we pulled the trashcan off of her, we found that she'd somehow gotten her face stuck right back in that popcorn cup again while inside! We were all laughing so hard, I really wished we'd been able to record it...

D'awww, I love my piggy pup so! <3

Horses are my favorite. My first horse died today, she has been with me for 24 years. :( I bought her when she was four years old, so she was 28 years of age.

I'm sorry for the loss of your horse. :( My daughter has a pony she keeps at her grandma's house. She really loves him, but getting a little too big for him, though.

Thanks for your compassion. I own other horses but she was extra special...my first. She's been with me through extremely hard times and I loved her so much. She was the best horse a kid could own. I've tried to not break down and cry today since it's my daughter birthday. In some ways I'm glad she died on this special day. I can celebrate my daughter b-day and also the day my best friend passed away.

Christina, I'm so sorry for your loss. :(

The first can be especially hard. There's all those years of great memories and times shared to treasure. My condolences

Please accept my condolences Christina, I'm very sorry for your loss. :( Losing a special pet like that is the toughest thing...
I can see what you mean in some ways about the timing, I believe that a celebration of life is fitting. She sounds like an amazing horse and I'm sure you have a lot of wonderful times together to reflect back on, I sincerely hope that they're able to bring you some comfort during this hard time.

I'm sending you thoughts of peace and courage~

It's hard losing a pet that means so much. :( Yes I consider a horse to be a pet. :)

I know how it feels to lose a pet. Any time you need to feel free to pm. I'll listen, and not expect you to get over it right away.
I've actually been told before, "Thought you would be over it by now, it's been a week!" Doesn't happen.

When my mother lost her dog, I made a scrapbook for her with pictures of her and her dog together and having a good time.

Thanks again everyone for the kind words. It's hard to move on and it been very depressing. She was with me through the best and worst times. My father rode her a few days before committing suicide, so there is a lot of emotion and memories associated with her.

Hey Angie, Do you have a picture of your octopus? I would love to see him. I've always wanted one but have held back due to the short life span and also because I hear they are hard as heck to keep inside the tank. LOL. I'm afraid one would get stuck inside my overflows.
