    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

what kind of branches are best to use with beardies? how long do they need to be baked? he is growing fast and it won't be long until i have to move him into the 55 gallon tank. i'm trying to figure out what substrate would be best to use with him and what would make a good basking spot. he eats mealies from a bowl and i don't have to worry about him eating sand if i decide to use it. i would like to know what everyone uses and what they think of it. thanks for the info.

for my beardie i use cypress only cause i have so much of it but i also have tile with a piece of wood stopping the mulch for going to that side for branches i have a huge piece i bought originally for a fish tank way to much paid almost 100 dollars but i also have some wood i found what i do is take all the bark off then soak it in some water and bleach then i throw it in the oven at 250 300 for a couple of hours haven't had any trouble with wood since i been doing that for the size i would try and get one big enough to wear he can get close to the basking area with out being on top of it hope this helped

forgot to ask, what is everyone's opinion on the reptilite substrate? anyone here use it? thanx

I use sand blasted grapevine as branches in my enclosures.

I'm a sifted play sand advocate and have used it for 5 years now. I don't even look at other kinds of substrate anymore. :)
