In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What kind of cages are these

I picked these cages up but I am not sure who makes them. Can anyone help me figure out what they are? Thanks

Ok, wasnt sure if they were name brand i dont see any markings on to verify, they are made out of melamine which made me think they werent cabinets or anything like that. If they were home made the guy did a nice job making them thats for sure. Thanks for your reply.

Derek

I thought they were cabinets at first but they are way to rounded (been in the market for new cabinets). By the window latches, they do appear to be homemade.

Seeing as how they are home made what do you think they would be worth keeping in mind they are plastic material, have ceramic light fixtures built into them as well as 18'' fluorescent light fixtures . I got them at a really cheap price and have considered the idea of selling them.

Thanks

Just Cabinets has melamine cabinets, including pantries, so I wouldn't rule that out entirely. Though as Nick pointed out, they are awfully rounded at the corners to be cabinets.

The cabinets correct me if im wrong are melamine covered partical board. The cages are thin plastic maybe i am wrong about them being melamine, they are thin maybe 1/4 to 3/8 thick and solid plastic.

Correct. Can you post a couple more pictures? If they are made out of plastic then they may be worth more. Plastic caging made custom at home is rare, as the cost to build such a cage out of PVC sheets is very expensive.

I snapped 3 quick pics if you would like to see anything specific let me know. I tried to photograph the door so you can get an idea how thin they are, they aren't very thick at all.

I believe those may have been manufactured. That doesn't really look like its home made. I could be wrong. If I am, that guy has got some skill.

I agree i thought they were manufactured as well but i cant see any markings to identify them, that is why posted them to get some help. Thanks for responding and helping me out and sorry for saying they were melamine haha i put them up in a hurry and didnt think before i typed.

Yes they are starting to look less homemade but they could also have converted some type of locker. How's the other doors with the windows look? Do they appear to be cut?

Melamine is partical board covered in a resin, not plastic. Two entirely different things. When you said they were made of melamine, I assumed you mean actual melamine, not plastic.

The plexi looks like it was sat in groves to hold it in and then caulked for a good seal but it is hard to tell for sure because the door appears to be one solid piece. It would have been hard to wrestle the plexi in if that is the case. I tried to photograph it as good as i could i hope the pics give you a good idea.
