    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What Kinds Of Herps?

Thanks, it can seem like everybody in the herp community thinks its "guys only", lol.

For the record "he" is commonly used as a general term if you don't know a persons gender. I didn't look at your name and even if I did that still wouldn't have told me your gender. Kelsey is a common for a guy too. So don't go around inferring I am sexist thinking the hobby is "guys only".

My gender's on my profile, but even if it wasn't:

"He:
used to refer to a man, boy, or male animal previously mentioned or easily identified. a male; a man."

"They: used to refer to a person of unspecified sex."

From the dictionary, just so you know what is more appropriate in the future :)

I think it was an innocent mistake on Travis's part. If you wanna be mad at somebody blame Kelsey Grammer.:eek:

Maybe you should do a little more research. Just checked about 5 different dictionaries and all list "he" as a way to refer to an unspecified sex. Actually to be exact using "he" when you don't know the sex of an individual is grammatically correct. "They" is grammatically wrong because it is a plural and obviously you are not a plural. However, over the years there has been an outcry using "he" and now there is more of an acceptance to ignore standard grammar and use a plural to describe as singular. If you wanted to have correct grammar and avoid intentionally offending someone the best option would be to say "he/she".

One last note your sex is not listed in your profile to me. Probably something you need someone listed as a friend to see. Anyways back on to what actually matters:

I would second the hognose suggestion. Especially a male would probably do well in that set up. A milksnake is also another good suggestion, butI know my pueblan really likes to climb. Some of the gecko options are good for the space, but when it comes to non snakes I really like to give my animals solid light during the day. That is a personal preference though I don't know if less light in a rack would negatively effect them.
