    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What makes a leo look their best?

yeah.... it is, but with the adhesive on top it makes it a little easier than you might think. It was COMPLETLY waterproof, so I could take the geckos out, fill the tank with about 1 inch of water and diluted bleach, and give it a good ol' scrubbing. Usually after 3-4 cleanings with the bleach I had to reapply the adhesive, but it held up really well.

The only reason I got rid of it was I started using that tank for a baby corn I got and wanted to TOTALLY get all traces of gecko out of there!

is natural ambient daylight enough in your estimation, or should one have an artificial light source as well?
I personally do not use any sort of artificial lighting because my reptile room gets plenty of natural light through the window. But, if someone has their geckos somewhere that does not have sufficient light, I would recommend setting up an artificial photocycle with broad spectrum lighting (if possible).

Many large-scale breeders set up artificial photo cycles so they can have some of their colonies 'think' it's spring/summer and therefore can produce offspring year-round. My geckos cycle themselves naturally based on the number of daylight hours, which is fine with me because I need a rest during the winter season, too!

So what kind of bulbs do you think are good for the tank. My tank is 36" long I had a full spectrum flourecent light bulb in it but it was too bright for them so I had to take it off because they are albino's and their eyes are too sensitive so they would be walking around blind. So what is another option currently I'm using a incadescent heat bulb (low wattage) just for regular viewing light.

They really don't need any type of tank lighting, and you certainly don't want to blind your geckos... they just need to know when it's daytime or nighttime. You can get plant grow lights that are like incandescent bulbs, too. They are fairly inexpensive, and will make your geckos' color look more natural as well.

Just my personal experience. It can take quite some time for a gecko to get back to full color intensity after shipping. Months to many months. I have purchased almost all SHCTs, some very orange, from many people. That is my experience with this morph, particularly if shipped with a cold cooling pack.
