In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

A White Plains find this weekend, for $15...

She is all hues of pink. Pink where the yellow normally is, lavender on the bands, lavender spots. Though the picture may look yellowish, trust me, she has no yellow anywhere on her skin...

What is she?

Got her from a breeder named Neil.

She definitely did not look normal to me, lacking even a grain of black or yellow, anywhere! Even her eyelids are a tint of pink, they look bluish-lavender.

It really looks more like a girl-toy, Barbie leo. She is all pink, and white pores here and there. But those are all the colors you see.

Wanda

It looks to me like.....

a normal. I have a little guy that I hatched out that looks alot like yours and he is a normal.

Ditto what Kirksherps said. Looks like a normal to me. I am also sure that some one would call it a snow or a lavendar. The picture isn't very good so it is hard to tell.

Maybe

If there is anyway you could post a little bit bigger picture we could tell more, but with the little picture it looks normal to me.

I am having trouble resizing it and pleasing the server, even though I keep cjhoosing 1024 as the largest k.

So, could she turn out to be normal although she has no yellow or dark bands anywhere?

Possible, but please answer this:Could she turn out to be normal although she has no yellow or dark bands anywhere?

Do normals change colors like that? The pic may be bad but she is all pink, lavender and white.. I am only trying to understand her color

Wanda, the short answer is yes. The slightly longer answer ....... Is there a particular morph you want this gecko to be??? Like I and others before have said she looks rather normal. What exactly defines normal anymore I can't really specify. It is possible some might consider it a lavendar. Some others may consider it a snow. What it is is your pet now and you should just be happy to have it, it is a nice looking gecko.

Normals....

Normals can look all sorts of ways to be honest with you lavendar still looks like a normal, just with a little more color. They can change a whole lot. Take a look at the thread I posted. This isn't the leo I was referring to before, this is another, but look how much he has changed. This goes to show you that they change alot. Hope this answers your question about color change.

Is there a particular morph you want this gecko to be???

Well, for a new person to hear that statement is somewhat startling. I understood normals were dark/yellow from the start! , I suppose your "short answer":toiletcla would have been polite, informative, sufficient and to the point.

If I want magic, I find a fairy rather than a message board:no01:

Thanks for your polite reply, Wizards :bow01:

Wanda, I certainly was not trying to be rude or disheartening. You did get three different people to agree on their answers though. That in it self is a miracle. Normal covers such a wide range of colors. As I said it is hard to define normal. You have a very nice gecko. I just didn't want you to get hung up on it being a particular morph. Some people have a tendency to. Enjoy your great looking gecko. That is all that matters.

morphs

i agree with jeremy no ones trying to say anything bad about your gecko for $15 it looks great. but i dont think it fits any perticular definition of a morph. so i would say its a very light normal thats why it was $15. if it was anything other than normal niel would have sold it for more that that. i think people get caught up in the "what morph is this" stuff too much. the most important thing is that you like it. a friend/breeder once told me " keep what you love and love what you keep" enjoy the gecko....kirk

OK, Jeremy, no hurt feelings:beer:

Thanks to all for helping me understand what I may be dealing with here. I still think my Barbie leo looks darn good in nothing but purple and pink

You know, Kirk, I got the feeling one breeder there was more clueless than me. I asked him if he bred snows and he told me that such thing did not exist, "blizzards and snows are the same thing". I described a snow to him, white rather than yellow and dark bands, and he sort of shoved me off like I was pulling his leg:slamit:

Moral of the story? Don't judge my $15, some ding-dong could be selling a treasure sometime...

Wanda

wanda no ones dimissing your purchase like i said FOR $15 IT LOOKS GREAT! im guessing from your post you think its a snow. if you think its a snow why did you post "what morph is this"? you aked for our opinions and you got 3. if you were looking for us to tell you it was a $300 gecko it just isnt.i hope that you are happy with your purchase.i sell many geckos that resemble yours people ask me if its a snow and i tell them some breeders may try to sell them as such in my OPINION its a normal. thats all it is someones opinion!

That guy had his table like, close to the wall on your right when you came in. And little me gave him the news that snow leos exist.
I didn't think this was a snow, but suspected it could stay purple. Do wish there were clearer definitions of colors and categories. Most websites just say this and that here and there is a whatchamacallit. Never suspected that if it walks like a dog and barks like a dog it could be a cat.

K guys, you're the experts. I am sure I'll buy something from you sometime or you'll help me figure something out anyhow, so I'll leave on good terms.

Oh well, I'll post pictures of my Barbiesaurian months from now, I guess:wavey:
