    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What other pets do you guys keep?

DAND - maintaining that rodent population would be enough to drive me from this hobby...well, I would cut way down, anyway. I gave up on growing my own food when I still had less than a dozen snakes, lol. I couldn't even imaging trying to do it now, let alone with my former collection (and I had some stuff that could eat!!!) :eatsmiley

Although I do not consider these pets by any means, this is what I keep....

I have 3 leos, a 29g tank full of fish, a baby ball python, a 5 lined skink, a Golden/Cocker mix and a beautiful pittie boy!!!

I started with 1 Leo Gecko, September 2005. My kid moved, I inherited. Since then, I have established a "Gecko" Room. Still somewhat under construction.

It now houses 13 Leopards, 4 very young Crested, 4 juvies Crested, 3 adults Crested.

I plan on starting a breeding program in the spring. I want to watch some development of the Crested / Leos are already paired, just not at this time.

And, then I have 5 Rescue Cats, 2 dogs.

The Geckos are my relaxation. As far as food, I don't feed super worms, have tried Phoenix worms, use gut load-dusted crickets. When the kids show any stress, to insure they are eating I will hand feed 1-2 wax worms. These are treats not a staple in their diet.

The Crested Geckos eat baby food mixed with Crested Gecko Diet Food.

I applause you fearless adventures, I'm terrified of spiders, could probably keep snakes, just don't like feeding live food that is bigger than a cricket.

Wow so many pets people have ! Pets Rule ! lol I have 3 leos with 2 more being shipped later and several eggs in the incubator. I also have a Quaker Parrot named Baby. I just love animals of all kinds and I agree with meandstormy I like snakes but I don't like feeding them. Someone described to me how you can feed them frozen mice and OMGosh that sounded even more gross ! lol
