What projects are you working on?

I hope you guys don't mind me asking! I thought it would be nice to hear what your working on Ball Python project wise or future projects. Call me queer but I love hearing about it. And no I wont steal your ideas. ;D

I have only my little baby boy Apollo and 3 normal females im babysitting right now. But one day...one day maybe!

I personally want to explore the Fire morph, I believe is has tons to offer and it's not tapped into like it should be.
Now heres a strange few, Lesser X Fire? Cinnamon X Fire? Id call it a Spice! If it's not already been done...Haha.
But really though, why not use Fire morphs more? Im not seeing any particular wow Fire morphs lately and really not a lot of sales. (not just on Fauna)

Id like to make a Panda too. Or just hold it in all its glory. I don't like the actual bear Panda at all ironically though.

Honestly.. I will be happy getting anything this year.. lol (last year I had many locks, and no eggs)

But realistically, I want to try to make more like this girl, Aurora. I believe her to be a pastel/granite. Which is the project I am trying to work on/prove out.

And naturally, she (the female that produced Aurora) is the only female he has no interest in.. it's ridiculous, she practically slaps him with her tail.. he just runs away.

So.. that is my main "project" again.

Spray her with some cologne...who knows...maybe that male is just "funny" that way At the end of the day he wont appreciate the deception, but at least you'll have babies

Pastel Pieds would be a great project. I imagine if have a good color saturated pastel stock it would look very striking. Are you starting with Hets?

She was the only one like it. Her siblings are also exceptional.. but not nearly as aberrant.. the sib pastels are a VERY nice yellow with great blushing, and the granites are a very high gold (people have asked if they were just crappy pastels)

When she gets big enough can you try mating her back to the father to see that proves? Or would that not work. :/

Ah well the females are for a friend whose Mother passed away. He went to Ohio to her rest. Im just watching the girls and feeding them while hes away. Apollo is little baby still too, not nearly big enough to play with the girls yet. But anyway I took these photos a moment ago. Sorry about the quality, Im not very skilled. You have to excuse his dryness too, he went threw a very poor shed a bit ago.

I plan on expanding my collection per say to some Fires and Cinnys but Im not sure hell ever be in my breeding plans, plus that pretty far away into the future.Maybe hell get lucky with some girls, who knows right now! Im sure he can live just being my favorite though.

I planned to breed my pastel male to a visual pied female (will take 3 years to raise up though) in hopes of getting a male pastel het. pied from the first clutch.

Then the year after (if i got the male pastel het. pied) try to breed him back up to his mom and hope I hit the odds

Sounds good to me, who doesnt love those long term projects?
It only tastes sweeter when their done.

I'm starting to get frustrated.

Have you tried mixing them up? I've used a few swap methods before when breeding other animals. Maybe it will work with Ball Pythons. Usually I swap out the male with another one, then I put back the first male before they mate. It works better when you can swap out females but seeing as these are Balls I wouldn't suggest moving the females much. Anyway, I hope it works out for you this year. Some caramels would be great!

Trying for pieds, purchased a pair of "100% hets" from an old acquaintance whom i recently discovered had been peddling a few more adult het pieds then he could have reasonably gotten a hold of (weren't part of his collection said he was selling for a friend). Female seems gravid no papers on either her or sire just kinda hoping for the best.

The out come determines my next move but either way i'm planning on picking up some sub adult morphs and prepping for next year.

That can either be FREAKIN fantastic or dreadful...
Who knows if theyll look like normals too...no way to find out the sire?

Hi all,My first time posting in this area...I have a few 09 balls that i plan on working with.Never bred snakes before only leo geckos.
I have 1.0 Super Pastel ,1.0 Albino(high contrast),0.1 Bumblebee,0.1 Spinner. They're gonna take soooooo long to be ready.@ least thats how i feel.
Brandi...if you don't mind me asking,how do you get your pics to display like that?(with your name over the image) I am dieing to post pics of my stuff,but,i'm afraid somebody will steal my pics...Thanks for any help you can offer.
