In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

what rack systems do you use?

whats up guys?well first let me say i hope everyone year is going good.i was brain storming on rack systems and wanted to see what everyone was using..i am in spideys racks now.but wanted to get some other opinions from you guys.freedom breeder AND what percentage do you like your ventilation, vision,or whatever else.PICS would be awesome, but i understand if you dont want show them off.but lets see whatcha working with.

My ball pythons, with the exception of hatchlings, are in AP racks.
My hatchling rack is Vision. I've never tried the Vision CB70 rack; but I absolutely hated their Versa Racks. (I had one for 15 qt, and one for 32 qt...neither has been used for reptiles for at least 3 yrs - one is in my garage, as a storage shelf)

Animal Plastics here as well. I love them. I like the dual side heat they offer quiet a bit!

Boaphile rhino rax- hate them, the only one i do like some what is the hatchling rack... Which is discontinued due to losing the mold to the tubs... Moving to freedom breeder soon, cant wait!

I have Vision cb70, versa, and hatchling racks. I love the cb70 and like the hatchling rack, the versa is ok but the tubs keep getting stuck. Fortunately, I haven't yet had any issues with snakes escaping as others have. I also have an AP Economy rack, but it's really worn down and starting to sag a little...loved it until the wear started really showing.

For now I'm using the reptile basics racks, stacked. They do the job well. But, I can't wait to get back into a house so I can set all my AP racks up. Those have by far been my favorite of the racks I've used, and I miss them.

Looks like you're more interested in the pro-manufactured stuff but I thought I'd show my home-made version. I would love to have a freedom breeder set-up but I settled for just using their new CB-70 type tubs with the molded water bowl.

My hatchlings are in the boaphiles newer shoebox racks. I like those a lot.

ap racks seem to be the favor so far,now are they 100% venilation?or do you guys use part cover?jack very well built rack my friend.i have googled snake rack and have seen 1000 ways it is done.here is the reason why i ask so many questions..some of the people on fauna have seen me in person at shows and know i have a handicap condition (spinal bififida),which intales me not being able to lift heavy equipment and i was also looking for an easier way to move my racks around .do ap rack come with wheels?my racks are made of melameine and are very heavy.

AP racks don't come with any sort of ventilation hole system like FB and ARS do, but I've found that the tub clearance in the slots has always been fine for me. You can also put holes in your tubs if you like.

AP charges extra for the wheels, but you can get them with wheels.

thank you for the input shadera, yeah use holes in my tubs,my ballpythons like to sometimes soak on or in the bowls and the water gets every where causing the humidity to be trapped in the tubs and the ceiling of the rack.it also causes the rack to swell because of the melameine being wood.

yea brian,, i use chesapeake ball racks from rich baker which are nice and have enough vent for air but u can add holes if u like and price not bad, come all together with belly flex watt, just plug in thermostat of ur choice... also have one of paul mitchells racks space great but not good because tape runs outside of rack and lose energy and heat, but works great..and one home made bought from breeder over 12 yrs ago that hold 65 qt rubbermaids which they do not sell or make anymore and breeders love these and got pissed about the company ending them for good,, still in great shape and very clean, dont know if i want to sell it ever.. also more racks coming soon from rich baker,,, nice guy, great racks and snakes....

i have been here.getting ready for a move here in cali.trying to get all my breedings and hatchings done before then.breeding has taken a weird turn..by now i would be completely done and all my females back on food.but not the case here.good to see you here bro, hope all is well with you bud.

I have both fb and vision. The fb is the better rack but the vision is a better deal except for the adult size which comes out about the same. The ventilation on the visions cause it to lose humidity in the tubs faster which also means you will fill the water bowls up twice as often. The built in deli cup holders in the fb ar VERY nice. The vision have a little gap at the top which the snakes push against causing little marks on their chin. Being lighter the visions are easier to move around, but harder to clean. Fb are one size only where visions you can make a quarantine rack that has baby, 35, and 70 tubs all in one. If you want to set things on top like paper towels, gloves, etc the fb is easier as it is flat with the exception that the visions poles holds the paper towel roll. I think eventually I will switch completely to fb, its just the cost that kills on the smaller stuff.

yeah i am just trying to figure out what to invest in.animal plastics are light and easy to manage..on the other hand fb has wheels and would maxiumize my space by getting cb 70 30 hole rack.:shrug01::bandhead0

reptile basics very resaonable priced also,Rich Bakers racks are awesome too.I use 32qt for my adults & 15qt for males & growouts ant 6qt baby racks.
