    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi Tony,
The general rule is the younger the beardie the less veggies it eats. What I do is always put in the veggies a few hours before using live prey. Or put in only veggies for a day, then live the next day. Not guarenteed to work but could help. Good to see you took the liittle guy home......he definately needed one.

Im not a beardie keeper, but know basic stuff that you should do for most lizards. :)

Get some good Calcium/Mineral powder to dust his food with every couple days and different food items. Give him what he will eat, but keep the diet varied too ( different bugs have different nutrients, as do veggies *that are safe for beardies*). Be consistent with him and im sure he will do well.

Its very kind of you to take him in! Good Luck

I have to say that you have to be more mean that is deemed necessary. I would let him be off live prey for at least 5 dauys. He appears to be old enough & big enough. I would drop the veggies/salads from bove and be sure he notices them. Hold the bowl with his greens under his nose for a minute and then put on the cool side of his tank. He will watch your every move. Drop sald numerous times each day and then see what happens...Take care B...he should be learning to eat his salad because he will need less & less live prey as he gets older...B

Rite now i been given him collard greens and when i have him out i chop them up and give him by hand cuz he will open his mouth some wat and when he does i put it on his touge and he eats it but he will not eat any out of his cage tho but he is 14inches long tho so is that big enough for him to eat greens and veggies or not???? but he seems doin real well he moves very good and does alot of head banging at night??? Plus he loves his baths i give him 2 of them a day cuz he luvs it so much but any ideas to make him a better beardie and better health let me know guys???

This is one of the major issues with beardie's health IMO. I do believe that some folks believe its easier to drop in the live prey and walk away than to buy, chop, and give the veggies. Anyway, beardies should be eating their veggies by 2 weeks old. I think it is vitally important. For one, as they get older they need less live prey and more salad/veggies starting at about one year old. And I don't know if this has happened to anyone...the shipment of live crix got lost or were a day or two late. If your beardies are eating their greens, you don't have to worry that they are hungry.
I use the vidalia onion chopper you have seen advertised on TV, LOL. I would offer yellow squash, fresh green beans, BN squash and sweet potato. They like the bright colors of the squashes and sweet potato so maybe this will get his attention.
I admire you for rescuing this dragon. He will do fine with you.
Be sure you have the correct UVB and heat for digestion. Dust your crix/live prey with calcium without D3 4 times a week and give a multivitamin the other 3 days. I use herptivite. Hopefully this helps.
The baths are great and if he loves them its even better. Some dragons don't like their baths and some people do not realize that a bath is good for hydration and hygiene, but also for exercise. Take care Beth
