In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What should I get?

I have an open 48x28x18 vision cage and I'm looking for a new lizard to put in it and would love some suggestion! My price is limited to about &220 for the animal, and unfortunately cannot be a snake. I have a one year old blue tongue skink and an eight year old beardie at the moment. Thank you😃

Uromastyx are great lizards and interesting, and there is a wide selection from very colorful, to larger ones.

I was thinking about them for awhile but I think I want something a little more tropical. Something I can have multiple of in this enclosure.

Do you want a bulky lizard u can hold like a chameleon or a live eco system with some day gecko or something. Whatever u go for make sure u have interest in it and don't mind meeting its requirements. Good luck

I want something I can hold occasionally like a crested gecko maybe. How many cresties can be kept together?

If you are fairly experienced, water monitors can make great pets, if they are of the right disposition, and treated correctly, otherwise, I would get a couple uromastyx from a reputable dealer, preferably C.B.B. (otherwise they can have quite a load of parasites that need to be treated), They are kind of like a beardie, love to bask in the sun, not too flighty etc...
On FB, Ty Parks is producing some phenomenal animals, many quite rare. I would contact him.

I guess my concern for you would be what you mean by "hold occasionally". Are we talking 2 times a week, once every two weeks, or once a month.

I wouldn't get something like a rock iguana if you aren't going to be able to give it the handling needs it requires to be tame. I am not an expert on docile lizards that are ok if you only hold it occasionally, but hopefully someone could chime in for that.

I mean occasionally as in I could play with it everyday but I'm willing to get something that would get stressed with too much handling. But I would much prefer something I could play with a lot

What about a blue tongue skink? They are cool lizards and do very well with interaction one they are tame. Or a tegu if you want a lizard that will get large. I have a baby platinum blue tegu, and while he's still very skittish, I can put my hand in the enclosure without him attacking me and he'll walk very close to my hand. If you put in the time to really tame them down, they are awesome animals. Great eaters, too.

edit; Oh, lmao, didn't see where you said you already have a blue tongue. Nvm ^^

Blue tongue skinks are my favorite reptiles and that why I already have one haha, but the tegu is a good idea, I've been looking at them for awhile. Thank you

a mountain horned, crested gecko, gargoyle gecko, pygmy chameleon, a rankins dragon, or a leaf tailed gecko would do good in that sized vivarium.
