    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So today was gecko cleaning day, and I took everyone out of their tanks and put them into a community tank(only one boy so no worries about fights). Well when I got to my boys tank, which he was being housed with two of his ladies to get his grooze on, had plans of seperating them today as the girls have been in there with him for 2 weeks (usually I just give him a week with the ladies), grabbed him out, told him him was a heffer grabbed my green girl, told her she was a cute chunky monkey, and then I went in to grab Sunflower and went....ok something isnt right with you. She had her tail arched up in the air, not from bieng startled, I foud her like that, and she was swollen at the vent, and a piece of what I tought was poop at first, which I soon realized was red,brown skin from who knows what.

So I spaz, like I always do..lol Called the office and asked if Dr Tim (the reptile vet for us), and they said no, but Dr O (is an avian specialist by trade, but sed to see my reptiles before Dr Tim was released from the zoo contract)was open if I was able to get there in a few minutes. So I grab Sunflower and run off to the vets. So Dr O takes a look at it, she is unsure of what it can be. She doesnt think it is her rectum, and well she pooped on me earlier so I know that was working fine, then we wondered if it was from my male breeding with her. So she calls and was able to get ahold of Dr Tim inbetween his letures(he teaches also at a college here in Toledo), and asks him what he thinks. Well being he is not there, he can only help so much, but he thinks it could be an infected scent glad. Either way, I said we need to get it fixed asap as even though she is in her early stages, I dont want her trying to lay eggs like that. So she gives me a steroid antibiotic cream to put on the infected area, and a seriously small does of metacam(for pain as she is swelled up, licks her butt and is cautious with her back end).

This is a link to her picture of her issue area. Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? I want to make sure she is OK.

lol nice to see nobody here had a thought on what the problem might be.

Yesterday I took her into the vets again, this time to Dr Tim, our actual reptile vet. He said it was def an infected scent gland(like he thought), and that she was healing well, just not as fast as I want her too...lol He said no meds are needed anymore, and that if I am really worried, I can use a triple antibiotic(with no steroid) cream, but he doesnt think it is nessesary. She has been eating, as her weight is still maintained at 30g, and she pooped twice for us there, so he is very pleased with how she is doing. He doesnt think she will have any issue at all with trying to lay when the time comes(which still wont be for awhile). And while we were there, she actually licked one of her scabs off, and the tissue under it looked quite healthy. I am just glad she is going to be ok, I could care less about the eggs, just want her to be fine.

I'm so sorry I missed your post. It is good that you know what is wrong and my hopes are that she and her eggs will be well for you. She sure is a cutie judging by the pics in your album.
