In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What to get?

As some as you guys know I am working with the Black Axanthic. I was wondering what my next purchase should be. I'm stuck between a Clown or a leopard. I want to stay with morphs that the pattern is not too busy and will really show off the axanthic's true potential.

Leopard's are pretty busy and they tend to make things really crazy in most combos. With that being said, unless you get a reduced Clown from a reduced line of Clowns they can be busy as well.
I love everything Leopard but you really can't go wrong with Clown either.
Clown being recessive is a plus in my book but EVERYONE is working with them...okay, maybe not everyone but alot of people definitely have them.

I haven't seen a Leopard combo that doesn't kick ass and there are not nearly as many of them floating around.

Just my $0.02 though, either one is a really solid purchase.
Good luck :)!

I know you don't want too much pattern, but I think a HGW black axanthic would be awesome.

having both I think the possibilities of quicker results and money is the leopard. You can buy het clowns to get your combos instead of taking the time breeding. Leopards have less competiton to sell. Both make great snakes so go with the one you like looking at more and the combos.

I wonder what a super mystic black axanthic would look like?

I'd personally also like to see a hypo black axanthic, and a mojave black axanthic.

Hypo black axanthic sounds awesome, I'm just not sure he wants to work with such a 'mundane' gene after the talk of clowns earlier?

I was looking at what the leopard does do spiders and I like how the pattern is broken. I have always wanted a clown but I really am trying to avoid Recessive.

I actually have a honey bee that will be in the project. So ghost are in the black axanthic future. then in a FEW years a BLACK AXANTHIC LEOPARD SPIDER HYPO ( IF LUCKY:thumbsup:)

breed your black axanthic to a pin, spider, pastel and calico to hold back the females. Then get a leopard next season to breed and get a male leopard het black axanthic so that in two years you can be shooting to be the first for black axanthic leopard pins, spiders, pastels and calicos

Everything is wide open since it is a base morph. I have way to many idead floating in my head. For now my plans include a killerbee, Pinstripe, Pastave and Spider Ghost.

once you get the base morphs down you will breed other stuff to following year to compound the desired goals. This way within two to three years you are making 3 and 4 genes to get your desired results. Plus when you buy a higher end snake and make a male of it het black axanthic, you will have other morph het or visual black axanthics ready.

I would look at making black axanthic pumas, super stripes, or highways... Then I'd have to seriously consider going to black axanthic coral glow/banana. Then a high white California would be awesome too.

That all depends on how well black axanthics will sell. Right now they go for 4500. I dont know how well high priced animals sell.
