    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

A couple of weeks ago I brought home this adorable leo it's about 3 1/2in from head to tail tip. We keep several geckos but as far as morphs and albinism goes we have absolutely no idea how to identify anything properly as we really only work with snakes. I know there are three types but I have no idea which type of albino I have. I'm not sure if the type is identifiable at this age or if it's something that can only be identified by blood lines. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'll post pics below of my new baby! In case you can't see in the pictures the little guy has solid pink eyes.

It is not always easy to see what type of Albino a Leo is. Making the knowledge, of its background, very important.
However, if the eyes are solid pink/red (no veining), or only part of the eye is solid, it carries the Eclipse gene.

Edit: Very important if to be used for breeding purposes.

Ok thank you! And this guy is just a pet :) Breeding leopard geckos is something I might do in the future but I definitely want to know the genetics, get them from good breeders, and be much more educated before doing so.

Most leopard gecko albinos are Trempers, but Trempers and Rainwaters (aka Las Vegas) can be difficult to separate out. This one is a bit pale, so I'm not certain which strain it is. As Deb said, unless you know the lineage, it's very hard.
