    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello everybody someone who lives near me is selling this snake he doesnt know what it is he thinks it's a brazilian rainbow boa these are the pics I got. I'm not that great a snakes Lizards are my thing.

I agree, it looks like an Aztec from the side pattern to me as well.

I thought live animal sales were prohibited on Ebay?

Someone posted an extremely expensive boa morph on Ebay with a buy it now but didn't know what they were actually selling? :shrug01:

Hello Everyone
Well I just got home with the snake,it is an AZTEC from what I can tell.I would like some more people to look at it,just to be sure!Not sure of the sex yet,the previous owner said it was a male.He is more like 4.5 feet long nice girth and in deep shed.He is definatly snappy,maybe once he out of shed and fed,I can work with him to try to change his attitude.On that note he or she is for sale or trade,bring all offers thanks John 856-466-6429
 
While he does have an Aztec look to him, I would not sell him as such.
It looks a lot like an Argentine cross to me. Perhaps one of the normals from one of those 75% salmontine litters. Before you go selling something as what you think it is, you might wanna do some work with it. Even if it has babies that look like it, you have to breed those to something. There is a lot of work to be done with that animal besides taming it, and if you are just looking for a quick buck for something you got cheap on ebay, that is exactly what you will be remembered for.
If you want to put some work in and prove it out, go for it. If not, I am sure there are some that would be interested in it. I would be very interested in proving it out. However, I am not going to pay Aztec price for an animal that may be Aztec-like. Shoot me a PM with what you are looking to get for him, and we can talk.
 
Wow, now that I look again, it HAS to be an Aztec! Perhaps even a sunglow motley aztec, het for anery even?

There are a lot of snakes out there that look like jungles. The first time you sell one that isn't compatible with the Swedish line you are finished in the hobby!

Your first PM was the same thing you posted in response to me here. You simply said you thought it was a super, and linked to some super Aztecs.
I offered you real advice in this thread. If you don't know what you have, you can't label it as such. Well, you can, but what results may not be what you are hoping to achieve.
Your second PM suggested that I make an offer. I wont. In my initial post I said you could PM me a number. If you didn't want to, fine. You didn't have to PM. I didn't want to make an offer or I would have replied to your advertisement. I am interested in the snake, but I am not envious.
 
I don't see anything that makes it look like a super aztec to me. I also agree with Davey, without breeding it and seeing if it truely is an aztec animal selling it as such would be unethical. For a comparison, this is an animal I had years ago, they do pop up

And btw, Davey is one of those types of people who are brutally honest, won't worry about ruffling feathers if need be, and I agree with him from what read.
 
why don't you post a pic of the snake from the top a see what kind you responds you get? by the look of it (the pics) you could guess about 10 different kinds of morphs.
 
It's deff. not a super aztec, supers have a speckled granite apperance on their laterals, only the 'het' aztecs have the connected lateral striping. I also have a boa with tons of big chunky lateral striping just like those posted, just not quite that extreme. The lats and blocky square saddles do appear aztec-like on the 'ebay boa' but as other people have said, the only way to know is by either buying it directly from a reputable person or proving it out through breeding trials. I am glad you changed your ad to read that you could not prove it is an aztec, but it's deff. not a super (on the link you posted, the 4 at the bottom are not supers). Good luck!
 
Without a doubt not an Aztec!!!
Interesting animal no doubt, but come on jumping on an already established morph to try and gain a buck....that is a quick way to create a reputation! And not one that will provide you with all the success you so much desire.
Just my opinion.

I would guess either an argentine cross, or another cross using nicaraguan or other central blood....
I hope Im wrong, and you keep it and prove it to be something else!
