Hello,

This spider was found at a friends house in Berkshire (southern England) recently.

It was found in the bathroom, it is about 8-10cm across. It stood still when noticed and jumped about a foot and a half in the air on the spot. It's still on the loose if anyone is interested in trying to find a new pet. laugh.gif

Doesn't look at all like it is from this country too big and never seen a spider jump like that.

Anyone able to give any ideas what type of spider it is and where it is from?

Thanks

Ste

all i know is that is one big scary spider... i would vacate the premisis and call an extermenator to kill it YUCK.... i litterally could not sleep knowning something like that is stalking me in my house

Looks like some sort of a 'sheet-web' spider possibly a male 'hobo' [these we have here in Michigan and have seen males that are about 2" leg span] . Too bad you did not get a front pic then the eye arrangement would help

Looks like a "one step"....unabitesannayourdeada
If it bites you ...what ever you do don't take a step!!!!:D
