In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What Would Warrant These Prices?

Just currious as to what makes these worth $850.00 and $3000.00. The same guy has more for $800-1500?

I don't see anything terribly special about them...

I guess the sun DOES shine a little brighter for some people.

People can ask whatever they want for their animals - doesn't mean they are going to GET it.

Yes I know but that just seemed so very high. I did not see anything different than all the rest out there either. Thanks for the reply!

Funny. His female looks almost like my male, but my male is alot nicer with a bright golden yellow head, and I only paid $35 for him :) I highly doubt that he's gonna get that sort of money for his dragons. He's just an idiot.

Now that ad says "shes been breeding with my $2200 male"

I think these ads are funny, The dragons are ok looking by nothing special at all!

Wonder where he got the idea they were worht that much, and do you think her really got ripped off on that male or is he making it up?

Wierd

I eevn e-mailed the guy and asked why he was asking that much, of cource no reply was given. I have no idea unless he thinks the prices triple or quadruple or something every year. He must have gotten told they were some new morph or something by the person he bought them from? Who knows but those prices are quite funny at the least.

Jenn I want that RED MALE!

Sure wish I could get that guy. Let me know if you have anymore that turn out like him. Love that blue as well!

Nah I think

you should just send him on over as a good networking stragedy! You know the saying there is more Happiness in giving than in recieving.

Sandfire Ranch has some at the shows that are $3000 - $4000, usually extremely bright oranges and red that are subadults- 2 year olds. They are beautiful, but I would not pay that.

I have turned down more than that for one male we have and that amount for a female. But they are very large dragons, something that has become a rarity with this species in the US. Average size here now is 17 inches for a dragon and 450 grams. Large dragons are considered 600 grams and 22 inches. Our one male is 1048 grams and 26 inches

WOW!

I would like to see a picture of that Male CHERI! Please post one with something next to him to give us an idea of his size.

Sure, here he is with a tape measure and two girls that are over 600 grams, the one in the middle is only a year old now, so she is still growing. this picture was taken in April and she is now larger that the girl in the very front of the picture

And here he is in his outdoor 38 gallon reptarium with a bill to give you an idea of his size

We had him in Daytona last week at the Breeders Expo and his size is verified by many there who saw and held him, including three vets.

He is not for sale for any price, he is my baby, and all his offspring are reserved for years to come that he may produce.....So I can see why some may sell for that if they are out of the norm. The demand for their offsping could run into thousands of dollars to improve genetic lines here, so I think the dragons if available for sale, could run to those prices also.

Not just size, but color also. Finding dragons with vivid color and size are rare, that is what we are working on, but not compromising the healthy and heartiness of the dragons by inbreeding or back line breeding. It takes longer to produce them, but they retain the heartiness that this species was noted for in the past
