    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What would you do?

Hello,
I have a pair of het albino balls which i purchased seperatley two years ago. They have produced ten eggs in those two years and 0 albinos. The first year i thought oh well bad luck i'll try again next year. this year i had 5 perfect eggs and one pipped today so i opened the rest and 0 albinos. The guys who i got these animals from both had good reviews here but i am starting to wonder?The worst part is i do not know which one "ripped" me off ( maybe). Please help

Chad Littlewood:(

I'll assume by het, you mean 100% het, not 66% or 50%. If they are both 100% het you still only have a 25% chance at producing albinos, so really the odds aren't in your favor. The only way to be MORE sure (not totally sure mind you) would be to breed each animal to an albino. Doing so would bump up your odds to 50/50 still not great, but somewhat better. That would also allow you to see what happens with both animals. Hope this helps, but I know it doesn't, Brian

Hets are cheaper for a reason.

Chad,

Did both guys produced them themselves or did they buy them from a third party? Do you have paperwork for both pythons? Have you contacted them with your concerns?

Again, I agree with what Brian said. Odds might be against you although I will also recognize I would also be nervous after 10 offspring and no albinos. Buying an albino is one option (but you have to thik of 3K+ for an adult). Another cheaper option will be to buy an adult male 100% hetero for albino from one of the "big guys" (you can probably get one for aprox. $400). Ralph Davis had an adult male for sale not long ago at an affordable price. That would certainly be cheaper than buying a breedable 100% hetero female. If after breeding her to this "guaranteed" male your female still doesn't produce albinos, then you know that there is a pretty good chance that at least she (if not both) is normal, but at least by then you would have produced several 50% possibles.

Chad,

One other coment. If I were you I would raise all the females out of both clutches (if you haven't sold them already). Chances are at least one of the pair you bought is 100% hetero (let's think possitive!). That means all your females are possibles. Breed them back to a now guaranteed 100% hetero for albino. You will have more than one female hatching albinos next season and you can more than recover the investment on this additional male.

Regards.
