In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I think the Orange Dream is over rated because adults look like normals and the pastel orange dream looks like a regular pastel. I have seen some pastel lines that look better than the orange dream pastel.

Dont get me wrong the OD is nice but it needs help from other morphs to look nice thats why i say its over rated.

It's not always what it looks like but what it will give you.
Super OD's are SMOKIN..

Yb's aren't screaming hot but it makes a Ivory.
Mystics aren't all the hot but they make crystals.
Specters are not very impressive, but we know how hot the superstripe is.
Sables aren't all that spectacular either, but sable combo's can be very sweet.

imo there is no such thing as an over rated morph.

I dont think any morph is over rated its in the eye of they beholder I know a girl who like normals and she has all normals... so to her something like a superstrip may be over rated...I love them all..

But if I had to pick one I would say Granite. I just don't get the point.

I did recently see a Granite Mojo that made me want to cry...it was amazing.

I could be wrong but I'm not sure its the goal of many people anymore to just crank out single gene mutations or pastel combos for that matter? I think every morph has it good and bad combinations if you really look into it.

Like Jerry said, the super ODs are amazing and the future looks very good for this morph considering what's been produced to date.

I'm a fan because I like how they reduce pattern and add very clean yellow and orange colors to the mix.

I hear what you're saying though. Some combos are definitely better than others. Here are some nice pastel OD combos I've produced over the past few years. These combos are nice on their own but should be even better in the super OD form.

I wasn't sure what to think of the OD when I first saw it, but I've since been very impressed with some of the combos that it makes. Those are some beautiful examples that you produced, Tom!!

Not that I don't like how they look and yes I have one in my collection, but I think the Leucistic all white snake is over rated. I like the super mojo cross the most as it has that grey in it, but once you go all white, where do you go next. To me it is like an end game morph. I can put spider pastel yellowbelly leopard woma enchi vanilla infront of the BEL or after the BEL and I still end up with an all white snake.

Thanks! I've been fortunate to produce a few cool combos over the past 2 years but you really have to check out the stuff Oz has been producing using the fire and YB gene. I saw some of his super combos in person this past weekend at the Repticon show in Baltimore and they were amazing! They were catching everyones attention as they walked by the table (even the people who weren't into ball pythons were loving them!)

After seeing the tip of the iceberg so to speak regarding the potential of the ODs I'm super excited to be working with them again this season!

Tom

I didn't see these before my last post.

NICE animals Tom:thumbsup: All great examples.

In my haste to make my original statement I made this dumb statement...
I know not what I was typing, lol.
Carry on...

lol, i just wanted to get everyones thoughts on this topic thats all. I hate the way that pastels have decreased in value because everytime a new morph comes out it is always bred to a pastel first.

There's very few morphs that I don't have an interest in, but I would have to say axanthics (spelling) they look cool as a hatchling, but after about 1000 grams they look like poo. :(he combo's look bad as adults.

The same with the Orange dream, when they are adults they look like normals but they are not a bad morph. There are just over rated in my opinion a very subtle morph as an adult.

I personally don't think any one ball morph is over rated maybe over priced but every single morph has some sort of potential. This is why i LOVE ball pythons they are so variable.

Hmmm... a little back i had online pals talking about enchi's... So i look at them to see what the big deal is... and I see ugly pastels. period.

Now- combos look nicer, but idont think regular enchis are nice at all.

I do, however, love champagnes! lol- a i agree they do tend to wash out other morphs- but I guess I just like the very little pattern and such it has. Now, the combos may not be as awesome since it washes out, but it don't deter my wants of a champagne ( money, however does since i gotta spend $$ on my teeth, and not snakes...lol)

:D

I wouldn't say any morph is over rated, every single one out there has awesome combos. You name a morph that doesn't have any cool combos and we'll talk but until then I can name one cool morph from every gene:

granite x enchi
pastel g-stripe axanthic
super OD with anything lol
champagne butter ghost
etc

The other aspect that people are complaining about with axanthics fading out, almost every morph out there looks very dull as an adult compared to the baby version. Even one of the brightest morphs out there, the desert looks normal as an adult that's just the name of the game, we do it for the look of the babies. Yes some look awesome like the super stripe and many others even into adulthood but realistically they all get dull until you start combo'ing them.
