In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What's the most y'all have ever paid for a gecko?

i have found some respect for albinos after seeing the bell tang albino that kim had in a contest in orlando this summer. i would like to pick up a few bell albinos to work with. they have such cool contrast. i agree the trempers are at their peek; very pretty, but not much room to go from here.

robin how are your stripe projects coming? i saw a few photos in the gallery early in the year, but i have been a little busy lately (dodging hurricanes and losing power).

i lost most of my stripes and red stripes this year due to a temp flux... the electric company was doing some work on the lines and shut off power to our block both russ and i were working bu the time we got home the male incubator was at 97 degrees and the female at 90 degrees ,for god only knows how long. i lost just about every single eggs in there and the ones that did survive hatched out deformed. i had 30-40 eggs in four incubators.... total bummer

97 degrees; trying out the tremper method? i am sorry to hear that. my year has been a bummer as well. i had to end up breeding 25-30 gram males to 80 plus gram females. one of my females is really huge and that male is missing. i guess she had other ideas when that tail started to rattle.

i really want some stripes to work into my tangs. just no money to buy this year.

lets see some of those 1000 dollar geckos you guys have bought in 2004.

i gotcha

sounded like morphism ! lol(racism) :) but how many years will it take to make "carrotfeet" with those other types ? tremper has worked on that for a very very long time ! and now that it has allready been done (i think) will take away from the impact and suprise factor of projects like that with any other type of albino ! this was my only point..... not knocking other strains

During a momentary lapse of reason a few years back I gave $200 for an albino male and two or three het females. Sold them before they were mature though.
Other than that, I've never paid more than $17 for a leo.

Hmmm the most.....$135.
but Im saving up for chads!:D

Chad! can you hold him for me? I should be able to collect enough cans on the side of the road.....in about...ahhhh...three years????:wavey:

and now that it has allready been done (i think) will take away from the impact and suprise factor of doing that with any other type of albino !

Quite the contrary!!!!! people always want whats new...... last year speaking for kelli last yearshe didnt sell that many bells, now this year everyone wants them.... the work had been going on and will continue with the others and these animal will comand very good prices..... it's all about whats new and different ,what people want or geckos that are an extrordinary example of the particular morph

I'm another cheap person. My personal limit on any single gecko is $150 with shipping if necessary. I've only had to pay that much for five of the geckos I own (four that are leos), so I guess I've been really lucky at finding good deals.

just mean to say

thats its not going to be quite as new ..... having been done with the other strain ! i sure do and i think alot of people wait to see if prices drop a bit first .....like with the bells ! i do know what your saying though !

Dan P., I'm not sure I can agree. For example, tang Rainwaters and tang Bells look completely different from tang Trempers. I guess you're saying that since they're all tang albinos, some of the novelty is worn off. But lack of a surprise factor doesn't take away from the excitement of a gorgeous new look with so much potential for development.

my limit i's 350$, but i had to go over that for this guy from alberto...400$..worth every penny

yes olivia you hit it... the rainwater and bell albinos tang stripe, hybinos will look different especially the bells... they are nothing like rainwaters or trempers very unique and different.
dan, NICE Leo!!!!!! i can see that "king" blood in him... kellis bloodline has such a unique look to it, and that gecko is a nice example!!! good pick

I agree with Olivia. The suprise factor wont be there but the beauty will still be there as well as the high price. I think he was saying that when the first carrotheads and all the others came out it seemed to come out of nowhere but now we can all expect to see Hybinos from the bell line and everything. Still the beauty is there but not the suprise like when the others first came out. Has anyone produced any blazing blizzards with the bell line? Just curious. I have alot of ideas but am not to great with the genetics like dominate , codominate , and what not. Here are a few ideas what do you guys think I should try if any of these are possible? Patternless Albino to SHTCTB, Patternless Albino to Blizzard, SHTCTB to Blizzard, Tangerine CarrotHead Tremper Giant to a Blizzard and the list goes on. I have so many ideas but am not sure if these will work and what not. I went to genetics wizard.com I think it was and it was like another language to me lol.

guess i havent seen many rw or bell

no albinos that i have seen really look that much different ! ive seen a pic of tremper and rw together ....didnt look very different at all to me .......maybe just those 2 in particular or the pic ...dunno (not that ive seen that many..but still ) who has some pics for me ?? with that many designer traits in my trempers ... dont look like albinos anymore except for the eyes ..(much less could i tell which strain ..if i didnt get them from the man myself) ....they are just so covered with color ....and im sure it will be great no matter what albino projects the linebreds are used in

The most I've spent on an individual leo was $300. My runner up cost $200. I was a bit in shock after the $300 ;)

The most I ever paid was $79 for a subadult male Tremper Albino a few years back. I'd never spend more than $100 on a Leopard Gecko... They're not worth the investment, due to the one year egg-to-egg turnaround. Any new morph gets overbred immediately, and the value drops through the floor.

The most valuable Leopard Gecko I now own is a SHTCT Baldy that I purchased for $20. I have two of her siblings that I purchased for $23 ea, and I think they will be just as nice.

I'm fairly certain this is not what you guys wanted to read, but hey - Leopard Geckos just aren't a good investment.
