    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

 That sounds fine, but take some friendly advice. If your SOOO worried about viruses, then put your phone number in your ad and put WHICH state your from instead of USA.
 I sent you a email with NO download, asked simple questions and asked for references. And got NO reply. I have had my share of "crazy" offers and Ill reply back anyways. If you get "suspected" emails from people like Kingsnake.com or anyone that you see post in the SAME classifieds as you, then email them and ask them if they sent you a email. I have done this on suspected emails as well. Customer service is KEY, if you want to have any kind of success and build references. Id also suggest you sign up for Paypal as well. Its easy and helps protect you and the customer.
 Put yourself in your "possible" customers shoes. These things, right or wrong, does look questionable. The customer doesnt want to be out either. Again, you are new, but how you come out of the gate, sometimes dictates how well you'll do in the long run. Again, Im not doubting you, only offering advise from someone who's been breeding, buying, trading and selling reptiles for over 10 years. Your right Daniel that is a good trade. I know him by his name because we have worked a deal on some animals. I am sorry but to me this sounds a little dumb.... a person can quote what we write but cannot remember that Jeff a.k.a. cuga mentioned that we worked out a deal on some animals. I do tend to remember the names of people I sell or trade animals to along with writing down their addresses and their email addresses. Jeff and my fiancee' have talked a couple of times on the phone and worked out the deal. I just agreed to it and let them have their fun hashing out the details. There is also some cash so it is not just for the games. And for the record cuga / Jeff is located in Virginia and I am in Illinois. So if we are posting from the same computer it is a pretty amazing feat being able to drive or fly back and forth so quickly.  :0  :p  :D

just looked at the add. According to jeff... he's getting 1.3 for 65 dollars and some video games. Well according the the ad, she had 2.2, not 1.3. Don't you think if they get the deal struck out, he would know what he was getting? Besides, it seems awfully fish. Why didn't he come forward before if they were talking for weeks? Personally, though the prices seem quite fair, i will not have anything to do with them. My first introduction to them was a message about a motorcycle wreck. A few posts later, not even a mention of a wreck, but an increase of snakes for sale. To me it sounds like a scam, but who knows.

i am not attacking anyone,, it just seems to me that some people(not everyone) are always looking for the fault in other people!! you think about 5-10 years ago when people hadnt heard of any of the big names in the industry,,,people probably thought they wre crooks too,,,look back on some of the older posts,, and you will see all kinds of people that are supposed to have reputable names that have ripped people off,,,the pont i am making is this,,, just because you havent heard of someone or someone didnt return your e-mail when you want them to doesnt mean that they are crooks,, and as far as my business dealings are concerned,, its not your money so stop trying to analyze everything,,all i was doing was saying something positive about someone that i feel is worth doing business with(have-a herp)!!!!thats all i have to say..

Well, still don't know how to get in touch with Have a Herp. It's difficult to start a business if you don't provide with a way for people to contact you.

Well, Jeff it seems someone's getting a bit touchy. No body was looking for fault. Fault (be it innocent or not) was right there in front of us. I NEVER stated that "Have-A-Herp" was bad in any way. I clearly stated that somethings that they do, would make MOST (not all) possible customers leary. That's why this board is here !!! To inquire on someone we don't know of. I even offered some advise that could help rule out ANY hesitations for their future customers. And as far as "just because you havent heard of someone or someone didnt return your e-mail when you want them to doesnt mean that they are crooks" its the fact they didnt return them at all. Let's review a few things here that make people who buy on the internet cautious:

1) They don't state which state their in. Most customers would like to know where your from. Maybe they could pick the herps up at a show or meet somewhere instead of shipping. Does that make them "Bad", NO. But does raise some eyebrows.
2) Won't return emails to already established dealers on Kingsnake.com. I understand about the viruses, but there's other ways to get in contact and verifiy if they sent you a email. Im also sure the other party would like to know if their system is infected, if they didnt respond to your ad. Don't say " I dont have the time ". I work 3rd shift (11p.m.-7a.m.), watch my 3 kids from 7-4 and sleep from 4-9:30. Yet, I can find the time to let someone know they MAY have sent me a infected email. Point is, I DON"T want to lose a possible customer. If their sooo worried, then they could easliy put their phone number in the ad. Simply put, give your future customer a way to contact you.
3) Their only refernece (From what I gathered at the post by Sasha) wouldnt go to bat for them. He only stated that he sold them some stuff and thats it. Now, they were posting thosands of Baby Ball Pythons. Who bought them all ? Were they happy with what they got ? Guess what, there's some referneces !!!! Why not supply them. Its a start.
4) You NOW have 3-4 customers who understood and accepted their explanations and was still willing to do business with them (me included). That right there should tell you we werent judging them. Heck even Daniel has requested their number and address several times now. Yet, they don't respond. Why not ?? I thought they needed the money soo bad.
5) Not set up threw Paypal. ALOT of customers and dealers are set up this way now. Why ? Because it protects the buyer and seller. It takes 5 minutes to sign up and they even start you off with $5. Look at the ads. You will see 70% or better now are set up threw them. This also gives the customer the option of paying via Visa and Master Card.
6) Also, why not email the parties here interested in your stuff and ask what their email contained ? You want to build a refernece base, then you need to build a customer base.

Now, does all this make them "Bad", again NO. But you can't blame people being leary on purchasing. I hope your deal goes smooth, I hope "Have-A-Herp" takes at least some of my advise, I wish them the best of luck and when your deal is finally complete, then let us know how it all turned out.

Joe,i think the advice that you gave was excellent,,pay pal probably is the best thing going and i wasnt referring to you,, i was referring to the guy that thought haveaherp and myself were in some kind of cahoots!! i understand about being leary,,,trust me,,,i am leary of everyone no matter how small or big their company is!!! This is the first time i have done business with them,,,but i have talked to Angelas fiancee on the phone and i believe that we have come to be friends!!! i am just a no name collector,,but Angela can use me as a reference anytime!!! once again your advice is great,,,i will use it if i ever start breeding and selling snakes!!!

She will still not provide us with a way to contact her. We assume you know how to contact her as you send her the Nintendo and you speak over the phone with them. Could you provide us with the contact info or were you suggested not to do so?

One way or the other I lost complete interest and I wouldn't even send money for shipping if I was offered the snakes for free.

I wish you the best of luck in breeding them and proving their genetics in what, maybe three years from now?
