In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Whats wrong...or is it nothing...

Hey guys,I have a question about my ball.
Well earlier today he ate a good sized mouse but he has been acting funny of late.
I know he is probably full since I fed him a mouse about 4 days ago also wich means the little guy "2 footer" probably has a full stomach.
It doesn't seem like it can crawl very good, and instead of crawling it just sits there,I just think it is acting weird?
All the other times it ate it just finished the meal and then went into his hidebox for some warmer temps, now he is just stretched out weird and isen't moving much,it also looked like he was trying to puke from his body motions.

What do you think the matter is:
To much food/to heavy and tired to move...
Mouse made him sick/unlikely...
To full of a belly?

As we speek he is staring to move about a little,I bet he s just slowing down trying to digest the mice.
Thanks!

Josh,
He should have digested the first mouse by day 4. Usually takes about 2 days (Give or take) to digest if conditions are good (Snake is healthy, heat gradient is appropriate). He would not have taken the second mouse if he was not ready for it.

Now as for why he is acting strangly now? It could be any number of things. Could be the heat he needs just happens to be right where he is stretched out right now. He may have been trying to puke or he may have been trying to move the mouse into a more comfortable position for digestion. If he does puke, don't feed again for at least 7-10 days.

I noticed in another post you said he "wanted" to be held for 5 min after eating. Well, it is best not to handle a snake more than absolutely nessecary for about 48 hours after a feed, so he may have just been agitated as well. I could argue with you about the snake "Wanting" to be held, but I suppose if thats what you want to beleive about your pet, it won't hurt the pet........just remember...don't hold him after eating whether he "Wants" to be held or not!

Thanks...LOL!
I diden't realy mean like he wanted to be held, but he was acting like he usealy does when he wants to come out.
I know I have no clue as to when he wants to be held, but usealy all I have to do is take the lid of the cage and he just climbs up into my hands, well this has only hapend twice but still!
Snake defently don't act like normal animals, you can't realy tell what there thinking but I bet you can tell if you piss them off.
I had a 4 footer a couple years ago that always hissed when touched or held, never bit or anything, this new one doesn't do anythin but stick his tounge, balls are fun to watch though!
Today he was his normal self,my mom and here girlfriend had to see him and hold him,the ball was actualy sleeping with one of them for like an hour,it was pretty cool,he probably wasen't sleeping, just getting warm.
Thanks
