    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What's your favorite movie of all time?

Not like Big Uns in Daytona at all...

The original

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree:
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to the sunless sea,
So twice five miles of fertile ground
With walls and towers were girdled round;
And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,
Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree;
And here were forest ancient as the hills,
Enfolding spots of greenery.

Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Ok man you lost me somewhere.

Wow...porn to poetry and back again.

Favorite movies:

Monte Python and the Holy Grail = bring me a shrubbery
Eraserhead = Henry's baby!
Swingblade = french fried taters with mustard - uh huh
The Three Amigos = you shot the invisible swordsman
Lord of the rings = the first is still my favorite, my precious
The Wall = a dollar movie favorite in high school
Saving Private Ryan = Intense

interesting subject.

What about favorite books - non reptile that is?

Regards,

Terry

Yeppers, King and Koontz all the way. King for the book you want to take your time with and Koontz for the fast paced read. Rice and Grishem is good, and though I would have to look for the author, I liked the Gor book series.

movies..... considering I was sucked into the movie theater workers cult in my impressionable teenage years this should be fun.

Musical: independent film called songcatcher, easter parade (to be watched on easter), white christmas (to be watched any time in the 6 months it snows here)

Action: fight club - I only tolerate the blood and violence because of brad pitt's magnificent backside........:lick: the front isn't bad either

Comedy: facetious stuff like waking life or the royal tennenbaums, dogma, mallrats, I suppose chick flicks and romantic comedy falls under this category as well, so yeah, all those ones that I have to watch alone or with girlfriends. oh and 80s flicks by John whatshisname

sports: bull durham, and in a distant second jerry maguire

Drama/everything else: ocean's 11 (new and old versions), well made black and whites, ....

As for reading material, I like most of ray bradbury's stuff, used to be addicted to grisham, but not as much anymore. Too much technical reading for school has really soured me. *sigh*

PORKY'S...........that was cool LOL Now i'm 27 but very much a child at heart so i'm very much into animated stuff like Monsters Inc and Ice Age. Finding Nemo was cool too, the artist in me must watch these; one day i hope to work for Pixar LOL

I also like most of Tom Hanks movies and anything with Sean Connery..............hmmmmmmmmmmm, yes i rate movies by the men that are in them LOL. I love dragons and Sean Connery did the voice in Dragonheart......it couldn't get any better. :)

Sleepless in Seattle, sapy but a girl can dream......Tomb Raider, i would love to be half the woman she is. I like sci-fi and comedies. Picking out one movie is hard, i like many but anything that makes me laugh is usually something i'll watch alot.

I like to learn so TLC and Discovery are on alot of the time, biographies and historical shows but then theres shows like C.S.I.

Sorry i'm not into porn.......why watch it when you could be.....

Anyways, i also like medieval history so movies like First Knight are tops on my list......men in tights with swords hehehe

I was thinking, ya a dangerous thing to do i know hehe.

With all the movies out there and all the actors/actresses if i had the opportunity to meet just one who would it be? Honestly i don't know, theres to many. I would like to go to a Sci-Fi convention but theres never any out this way and flying to BC (or anywhere else) just isn't in the cards right now.

Then again even after being in public speaking competitions, and having the astrological sign saying i'm an outgoing, life of the party, leader type, i'm still a very shy person and would probably back out of meeting anyone.

I forgot to say that i love Stargate, the movie and the series. The whole thought of Egyption mythology being influenced by aliens is rather cool LOL (history part of me talking). I'd love to visit the set and see the gate and how it works and then go to the computer graphics company and see how they create the water vortex thing that pops out of it LOL.

I like the behind the scenes stuff, seeing how its made. Don't know if that ruins the affect of the movie.....for me it doesn't as i'm usually thinking "how did they do that".

Yeah, this is a hard one, but "Pharoah's Army" stands out in my mind, maybe because I'm into American history and its based on a true story. There is also the western "Unforgiven" with Clint Eastwood. The main character kinda reminds me of myself ("I'm not like that anymore"). Kevin Costner's "Wyatt Earp" also kinda holds a place too. Before I even saw it, my friends told me that I had to see it because of the character Doc Holiday. They said he acted like me especially when drunk. Not like that anymore, just a mellow no longer gun toting (except when I am on the border) ex-hippie.

Musical (I know what the hell they are). This is real easy for me - WOODSTOCK! "Jimi Plays Berkely" comes in a close second.

Silent B&W. So many good ones, too bad most people don't realize this, its hard to pick one, but the comedy "The General" stands out in my mind.
"Birth of Nation" is also a classic, but has been blackballed as being racist propaganda. History is history though.

Sci-Fi. "Dune" I really liked, the long version, of course.

Adult movies

Whoops, forgot a important category, adult movies. innocent little me have not seen too many, but I will always remember "Up and Coming" with Marilyn Chambers as it was the first one I ever saw. Also like "Where the Boys Are'nt" for obvious reasons. LOL.

I liked Lost in Translation a lot. Bill Murray is one of my favorite actors. What about Bob still makes me crack up to this day. The Fifth Element is my all-time favorite. I'm into a lot of anime, and the Sailor Moon Super S movie always makes me cry. The Japanese movie Hero and Kung-Fu Hustle are my favorite foreign films. My favorite Disney movie is the Little Mermaid, and I get to watch it a lot with my daughter.
