    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

How old is she? Looks like a snow to me. Do you have pics from when she was younger?

no she just ate a col 2 days ago I don't have any more pictures. She was already on medium rats when she was sent to me
does it look like a motley snow
She will breed in a couple months got to find out what to breed her to

I don't know if she's a motley snow or not, but I do know that you're going to kill that snake feeding it like that. That snake isn't at that weight or shape from one rat. I'm not trying to give you a hard time, just prevent you and that snake from an unfortunate fate.

Chris

how is she going to die from a col rat that's crazy. So do you feed your breeder females a medium. She is at lest 3 years old a col rat is not a big meal nor is she unhealthy

She looks like a sausage about to burst from its casing... She is waaaay unhealthy. A boa shouldn't look like a BP.

I don't think she's that long, so I don't think I'm mistaken on overall size, my concern is her body proportion, that snake is significantly overweight. The fact that you're feeding a 12 lb boa a colossal rat is more proof of that. Again, this advice is not attacking you, I'm just trying to help you and the snake out. Obese animals have lower fertility rates across the animal kingdom.

:iagree:

I'd move it down to a large rat every three weeks for a while, just to let her system level out, then a large rat every two weeks until she grows with lean mass.

^^^ I have to agree with this....reduce not only the frequency, but the size as well, and see what her system does with the reduced intake. Good luck!

Hold on a second, is the same snake you posted back on 1-13-2013? Definitely take the advice that was offered above in regards to cutting back. I'm having some other issues with this post besides just the diet of the snake. Your claiming that you are positive that she is a 2010 but don't know the genetics? Usually it's the other way around & people forget the year. Are you sure that she is a 2010? Maybe it's just the pictures but I just don't see the length on her that she would have, especially with being over fed. Are you sure your just not reaching a little to hard & trying to convince yourself she ready to breed?

Good find! The snake in the first picture looks healthy. It is in fact the same snake, you can tell from the few orange scales on it. They also both have the same partial tail stripe. The white just became more apparent from being so stretched out. It does seem like she was powerfed to try to reach a breeding size rather than wait for proper age. She still had a lot of growing to do before moving up to even a large rat. I feel bad for the snake, it looks like jabba the hut now, and before it was in perfect lean shape.
