• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Was looking through the cupboard in the kitchen today while putting away some groceries I just bought and noticed a bunch of cans of chicken noodle soup. Hmm, was wondering what I would make for dinner tonight. Chicken noodle soup sounds pretty good. Pulled one out and checked the expiration date. June, 2024. Hmm, checked the rest of them. Same date. So much for that idea. Oh yeah, some gravy back there in the back too. Same expiration date. The last few years have been little more substantial than just shadows, it seems. Wonder how much else of the real world I have lost track of?

I have had some cans of food from 2 years ago that I forgot and only found out last month. I rarely eat soup soo...

I found a ten year old package of chicken breasts in the bottom of the chest freezer. The dog was very happy.

I think I have a whole turkey in the chest freezer over in the old reptile building. No telling what expiration date that might have on it. But it had to have been purchased around 5 years ago.

that must have gone bad by now.

I've had food poisoning 3 times. I am very particular when it comes to dates on food. Drives wife crazy sometimes. She will say the milk is just fine but if it is one day past I will not touch it.

Apparently artificial intelligences are not quite so picky about their food items. A Google AI search says:

Keep frozen until you're ready to thaw it. Turkeys can be kept frozen in the freezer indefinitely; however, cook within 1 year for best quality.

As soon as my home desktop computer becomes self aware, I am going to cook that turkey and feed it to it.
