    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Which cold packs??

I am going to be shipping next week, and the weather is a bit warm. I need to go buy some cold packs but not sure exactly which ones I should buy.

I read you could get them at walmart.

Should I buy the gel ice packs that you freeze? Or the medical ice packs?

I usually use the small blue ones found in the camping section ($0.94). If the temps are high, or the species is quite sensitive (, or you are using a bigger box), you could use the larger size of those, or use the gel packs found in the HBA section.
 
Right now if you are using a 12x9x6 box a 4oz cold pack works good if you wrap it with news paper to slow the melt.

If shipping into a desert like Phoenix or Las Vegas use 2-4 oz cold packs. and be sure to use a delivery before 10:30 am. :)

Standard overnite does not cut it in the heat. ;)
 
after figuring out which one to use, remember that the thicker the foam is the easier it is have control over the inside temps
