In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I currently have a 20 gallon long tank and am wondering what kind of terrestrial geckos/ other lizards I could put in one. I would prefer it be large and handleable. I am looking for something that is fairly readily acessable and easy enough to care for.

Thanks

You could but a leopard gecko in a 20 long for it's whole life. Easy to care for and you can handle them regularly. If you want to get a larger lizard you are going to need something bigger than a 20 long. Hope this helps.

Well you can't house them together, but I have had a gargoyle since October of 2014, and I just picked up another gecko and I love them, such cool animals. They basically have the same care as a created gecko so you should already know what to do I. That aspect.

They are semi arboreal but how high is your terrarium is it a short? Cause if so as an adult they will need at least a 16 inch high I have mine in a 18in high zilla and a longer 17in high 20 gallon

Thanks Justin. How handleable are these guys because I have heard mixed things about that.
From my experience, they weren't big fans of being handled. Some seemed ok with it, but most would try to escape. Maybe with daily handling they'ed relax a bit; however, I only touched them when I had to, so I don't know if they'll ever tolerate it similar to a Leo.

I kind of like steppe runners, but blue uros seem a bit expensive as I only see them upwards of $300, are there any other uros that will fit in a 20 long?
