    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Sinaloans!!!!!

My husband bought a Sinaloan a few years back as his only colubrid among pythons. Well, after a year, he decided he wasn't a colubrid person and wanted to sell the little guy. I begged, wheedled, and whined, and offered to pay him greater than retail cost for him. He gave him to me instead. :) Oryn is my best snake; I just recently bought another slightly aberrant Sinaloan and I love him too.

I don't care if they're overlooked or inexpensive; I love their natural pattern, smaller size, and docile personalities. I just get a kick out of them every time I interact with them.

Cool post .. its cool to see what are people actual favourites as opposed to what is normally readily available.

I voted for Nelson's, because I think Inez is the prettiest milksnake there is! :) I saw her on the VMS site and couldn't get her out of my mind and looked at her every day till I had to buy her. She's a wild one, though! I would like a hypo hondo for my next one.

Black milksnake

I've had all sorts of snakes through the years. The Black milksnake is my favorite. It is large, docile and very strong. Similar to an Eastern Indigo in beauty. I used to collect zonata's many years ago. I've always been fascinated with kingsnakes...especially the tri-colored kings.

Pale milks are absolutely the best.
I particularly like the Thomas Co., NE and the Bighorn county, Montana locality specimens.

I'd have to say the Albino Nelson's. Our daughter's female is a gorgeous snake visually and has probably the best temperment I've ever seen in a smaller colubrid. We had read that Nelson's tend to be pretty mild natured and Emi is certainly amazing that way. She's never hissed, hasn't musked since she was a tiny thing and even participates in our elementary school education shows. Overall definitely a great milksnake. Our daughter plans to get a male this year (100% het albino) so she can breed Emi in the future.

I've always preferred the Red Milks, just something about those partial bands I guess. Course, the Coastal Plains are nice too, I guess for pretty much the same reason. ;)
