• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Sonoran or Nicaragua? I've been looking for a smaller boa.

Dwarfs seem tough to come by, and expensive at times. To my understanding, these two are considered medium size boas.
 
I think Sonoran / Tarahumara would stay smaller than Nicaraguans.

Dwarf boas are expensive initially because they're rarer than BCC or BCI but over time they cost less to keep as they require smaller feeders and enclosures.

This will be my first boa, if I do get one. How bad of a bite should I expect from an adult Sonoran?
 
An adult boa is most likely to bite you in a feeding mishap versus defensively. The very few times I've been tagged by an adult it's because I stupidly used the short forceps that I use for my ball pythons to feed my larger boas, and when they struck they blew by the feeder and grabbed my hand. Even those weren't bad. A bite from a cat is worse.

That's for the insight. Good to know. My concern was if they had bites needing stitches or surgery like some of the larger snakes.

LOL Even with my biggest boas the most I've needed was a pansy patch.

Wait until she takes at least three meals, then start working to switch her over. Minimal handling in the meantime.
