A very underrated species, Branderhorstii grows to a very big size, bigger than most Elseya, and looks quite impressive. These guys are very hardy and eat anything offered. This species starts out very flat and wide and ends up being a very bulky and tall shelled adult. Very good species for outside ponds in warmer climates.
