In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

OK..............I just got to wonder why you would hold one of those lividum's.
Haplopelma as a whole has the potential for a pretty bad bite and an attitude to match.
There is a safer way to move a T and this is how I do it .
Get a deli cup bigger than the T
Put it over the T
slide the lid under the cup so when you do this the lid is under the T
Press down and the lid is secured.
Having balls is a great thing putting a Haplopelma next them is not :slamit:
Exercise caution when dealing with some T's
Peace

yup i agree 100% dude, Cobalt Blues are not for handling , but for some reason the one i have (pictured) is not your typical lividum, he crawled up my arm as slow as a redknee and just sat there then she crawled onto my hand then i put her back into her tank, also she shed last month so she isnt coming up to shed.
i guess i just have one very chilled out but greedy lividum :) but for anyone else seeing that picture i posted who hasnt had much experience with H lividums DONT HANDLE THEM! , just admire them in there enclosure and if you need to remove them from there tank follow John apple's instructions,
all though so far this one is quite docile never trust them or any spider to some extent as they cant be tamed like dogs or cats they act on instinct this one could of bit me at any time :)

Right here, me, I do. It is a spider is it not? Ha

Yup that sounds like the usual responce of someone not knowing :ack2:
Spiders are a constant here in our world the more we learn about them the less we fear.
This reminds me of a time that My wife Nicole took one of her friends down to the animal room while I was feeding stuff, this gal thought everything was interesting until she saw my P bicolor [monkey frogs], She did all she could do to get out of the room, man I tell you she was sweating and breathing hard ....the damn frogs scared the cr@p out of her in a room full of spiders , scorpions and snakes. To make a long story short after reading a couple of books I had and learning something she now has two redeye treefrogs.
Knowledge is not ignorance

They have a cobalt in the pet store were i got my red knee....i asked to see it and all they did was just shoot a quick squirt in the genral area of the burrow and she EXPLODED out of the hole with her fangs reared and striking everywere.....you have a rare find there with a freindly cobalt, just becareful, not to sound like an ass but, your time WILL come. Just like mine did with snakes.

I think you mean admire the enclosure full of substrate. ;)

Gotta love those obligate burrowers. :D

I've got a small bit of PVC pipe in one corner of my cobat's enclosure, kind of like a prestarted burrow, to encourage her to dig near the glass, with some black posterboard taped on the outside in that area to block the light. I could just lift the posterboard and take a peek. .. untill she webbed everything up.
