    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey guys I wanted to share a project I completed this past weekend in my carpet python and ball python room.

I have been having a problem keeping my humidity up in my snake room to allow for good sheds etc. I used to use on of the humidity supplys from bed bath and beyond but the problem was it is only a gallon of water and it ran out so fast I had to refill it everyday and just add one more thing to my to do list lol....like i dont have a long list already haha

So what i decided to do was install a honeywell whole house humidifier in my snake room through the a/c system. The only problem was that I use a PTAC unit like the ones in hotel rooms. Therefore it doesnt have a duct system etc. SO....

here is what I did

Mission: duct humidifer and ac to run better and raise humidity
Materials: 1/2" expanded PVC, honeywell whole house humidifier, and a honeywell wifi thermostat.

Here is more. I still have some finish out on it but it is up and running and cant wait to see how much it will help me out and allow it to do its own thing now.

So far so good just need to make a couple minor adjustments. The functionality works great just need to clean it up and hide the wires etc. Thank you for the comment. I wanted to share to see if anyone else has the issue. I found the honeywell system brand new on craigslist for 100.00 they are 250 new.
 
My humidifier holds 3 gallons and only needs to be filled every few days.
Its a stand up one with air filters. It does my boa room which is 18'x12'. I keep it set for 50%.

Not for the reptiles but for the whole house I installed last October. Cleveland winters with gas furnace can get extremely dry. What a difference it makes. I have small collection in an inclosed room and it helps tremendously. Hope it works out for you.
