• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Hi I was currently trying to find out info on providing feeders insects and rodents to zoo,rescues and pet stores. My first question is how many feeders does a pet store or zoo consume a week/month? I understand when talking about wholesale where talking about huge numbers but I was looking for an estimate of how huge

When i had 25 breeders of bearded dragons i would go thru 5,000 crickets a week plus supersworms. when i did the teen survival challenge at the san diego zoo, we had to find a mealworm and i nocked on the reptile house door the guy answered the door gave us a superworm, he told me they purchase around 100,000 super worms at a time and there a huge zoo so it all depends on size of the place you would be supplying.
 
I cant remember if that was weekly or not for them. If i ever run into the guy again at the zoo ill try to rember to ask him.
 
a young beardie will eat about 50 crickets a day. But as they get older, it'll probably drop to about 20-30 crickets per day. So if you know how many beardies you're dealing with, that could give you a ball park number of crickets.
