I am up to my ears in incubating dragon eggs. Right now, I have around 80 fertile eggs from my Marketed Leucistics. I am debating whether or not to hatch out all the eggs. My females are still laying and I will be eaten out of house and home if I keep all the babies without a plan in place.
This breeding season has been especially successful and my reptile rooms are bursting at the seams with hungry babies already.
I am toying with the idea of wholesaling young dragons to vendors, but I am not certain about the ethics or the pricing guidelines.
The hatchlings in question will be the offspring of 2 100% Marketed Leucistics from Kevin Dunne and 1 100% Marketed Leucistic from Georgia Bearded Dragons. Top dollar dragons from top of the line breeders, but still very spoiled pets.
I think there are pictures of the parents on my site (www.sushidragons.com) but I am currently reworking/updating things so I am not certain what state the site will be in at any given moment.
I need to get a better idea of what I'm getting into before I decide how many eggs to keep. I assumed if there was a local breeder that wanted to buy out a clutch that I would sell much younger than the 6" and 8 weeks that I usually wait because they would have the experience and facilities to properly raise them up. But how does the pricing work in this market these days?
