In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Why All The Hate Toward Reptiles By Mack?

I don't know if I had posted this before, but I purchased a leopard gecko from rbm and it is still to this day one of the most beautiful geckos I have. They refused to ship him to me until a vet had seen him ( my state required a vet check for shipped reptiles at that time) and he was healthy then and is still healthy to this day.

I will chime in with a different issue on RBM:

My lady was absolutely dying for a Banana Ball Python and I was having trouble finding one at a decent price. Well she couldn't wait any longer and RBM was running a good deal so she kind of forced my hand to buy from RBM.

#1 complaint, which other large breeders have, is the fact there was no size listed. It was called a juvenile male, but honestly I have seen ranging opinions on how big that should be. Sure I could have asked, but how hard is it to give a rough ballpark estimate? Regardless I didn't care that much or I would have asked.

#2 My bigger complaint was the fact the information sheet sent with it said it was fed on 4/4/2016. I thought it was pretty universal that snakes do not get fed right before a shipment...actually I hear a lot of people will avoid feeding up to a week before shipping. I placed my order 4/3/2016 so I feel it should have been easily avoidable to feed it the next day knowing it would be shipped. To think this snake was feed hours before getting shipped out seems a bit surprising.

I can't really say I am surprised though. About what I expected going through a large breeder.

Any complaints about the animal itself?

The animal itself seems to be healthy and active. Though I will say I have not seen it personally myself at this time, but did see video of it as it was opened etc. I will also say the box was nice and warm despite the night time temps in the mid 20s so that was nice.

I am not unhappy with my purchase by any means, but obviously not exactly a company I would try to deal with often. I could have easily opened the box up to a regurgitated mouse with a snake...which would not be a pleasant sight.
