    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Why do people list so many stupid complaints on this forum??

I am finding this quite intertaining! This is the first time in my 20 year career listing messages on a forum. I listed messages about stolen credit cards, illegally shipped reptiles and expensive reptiles that were shipped dead with IBD! It seams to me that these are important issues. What am I missing here? Pleople list messages on this forum that are so meaningless and stupid that it amazes me!! Do these people have nothing to do? I have captive bred and shipped (legally) over 200,000 reptiles since 1979. If you have a bearded dragon, woma or silverback bolivian boa it probably came from me way back in the early 1980s. I imported the first specimens of over 50 well known species before most of you were even born. I make mistakes. Working with live reptiles, USFWS permits and over 1,000 clients and zoos one will make mistakes! But to have a forum were people complain about "duplicate photos" or " my permit is taking to long" is just stupid. These people must live a sheltered life. I wish they could have grown up at the time I did in the reptile business when you were happy to get something new that was hopefully alive and people appreciated good honest effort put into breeding new species! It is a free country so keep up the stupid complaints and I will answer them inbetween breeding my Iran Desert Monitors! I am sure my next complaint will be that I cant spell worth ****! Thats correct!

Poor, poor man. So you feel the need to complain about people complaining, and call them stupid?

It's funny. I know a decent amount about beardeds, and I have never seen your name in connection with them, or anything else for that matter, anywhere. You'd think someone of your monolithic stature in the reptile world would be more well known, and known for things other than stealing someone's pic and trying to sell that animal as yours.

Hopefully, this thread will be erased, as it has no real point.
 
I think this thread should stay. It shows more about Mr. Lilley's character, and it's straight from the source. Give the man some rope...

Your site says you have a degree in herpetology. I was under the impression that there was no such thing. A well known (and liked) zoo keeper confirmed this. Do you me a degree in zoology with an empnsis on herps?

I'm by no means defending Mr. Lilley, but I do know of at least one college that used to offer an advanced degree in herpetology. IIRC, there might be one (just one) US college offering such a degree now. For the most part, though, there is only a concentration in herpetology with some other degree, as you mentioned.

Just thought I'd throw .02 in there. I won't name the colleges I think I remember (b/c for one thing, I'm not 100% if I'm thinking o the right ones) because I'm interested in where Mr. Lilley's degree comes from as well. It's easy enough to verify a degree, after all. I'm not quite sure how relevent to this thread the matter is, but of course, this thread has very little relevence other than to give Mr. Lilley lots and lots of rope...

So, Mr. Lilley...where's that degree from?

How is it a meaningless complaint or whinning to those that you have stolen thousands of dollars in cash or animals from?

In the post made by the WebSlave, the included link gave us access to a post made by Mr. Lilley in which he stated,

"I started the first USA AAZPA approved commercial breeding center in 1979 and I have sold over 300,000 reptiles since then."

However, in THIS thread, Mr. Lilley tells us the following,

"I have captive bred and shipped (legally) over 200,000 reptiles since 1979."

Now, I am no math wiz by any stretch of the imagination, but Mr. Lilley, I see a discrepancy there of some 100,000 animals over the last 24 years. That's roughly 4,166 animals per year. Kind of hard to forget that many sales, I would think!

Of course, you DID say that you had sold over 300,000 and had legally shipped only 200,000 animals during that period. So, did some of your customers return 100,000 animals to you this past year? Or perhaps you were saying that you legally shipped 200,000 animals and illegally shipped the other 100 grand? Maybe you were implying that you had 100,000 walk-in customers during that period? At 4,166 animals per year, that's 11 reptiles every day, every year, for 24 years, with no holidays, days off, or vacations!

Whew! You ARE busy, aren't you, Mr. Lilley?!?!?!? You are the MAN!! I had no idea how important you were!!!
 
Im wondering if it is 200,000 or 300,000? Here its stated 300, then last months post linked above by webslave its 200,000. 1979-2/2003 200k animals, then 2/2003- 3/2003 another 100,000. Damn thats a good business.

Look at the date, it wasn't last month it was a year and a month ago.

So does that mean he's done negative 100,000 sales this year?

hhhhmmmm interesting.

I was always asking myself why I have been interested in some animals that Neil had in the past but still somehow I found an excuse not to even contact him about them. I guess my gut feeling was protecting me. Thank you gut feeling. I will go feed you know. Good job on protecting me.

He states he sent a pic of a naked lady to one of his clients, why would anyone want to do businesss with someone that sends porn to his clients?.... doesn't that just give us all a GREAT insight into the level of professionalism this person stands for???

In Lilly's defense.

There was one time not so long ago.....a couple weeks.
I was semding a pm to someone here.
and I was also e-mailing a friend.

Well the pm I typed up...went to a freind.

The link (qustionable site) went on to the pm.

Well the guy I sent the PM to set me straight.
He says this site is not for sending porn etc etc. and I found even more respect for him. Even though he was shown to "troll" other boards in the PAST. He still cared enough about this site to set me straight.


But yes I can see how the wrong picture can be sent.

And Brian you are right. I will take conversations about Neil to his thread.
