Hi.
Uh. How should I start...
well. okay. hi. I'm Rei, a (socially awkward) teenage girl, from NJ. I've loved animals my entire life; especially reptiles. My first reptile (which I really didn't get too long ago) was an adorable little albino corn snake from our local Petsmart. Bad idea, to say the least, the poor thing had mouth rot when I bought it, but didn't know what to do for it, so it died a few days later.
I'm a little smarter than that now.
....a little.
Currently, I have a very healthy, very sweet female ball python named Artemis.
Guess where I got here?
...lolnotpetsmartiswear.
I GOT HER FROM PETSMART. And she was NOT healthy, but I had done boatloads of research this time, and knew how to help her. She was showing symptoms of mouth rot from the first day I got her, but I immediately treated her with a cotton swab of peroxide every day until her symptoms eventually went away.
She is currently very healthy, and very sweet. Not a very enthusiastic feeder, though...
In a few weeks I will be taking her to a regular check-up, just to make sure everything's a-okay.
Thanks for welcoming me into the community!
